Sorry guys, kinda lost my marbles a bit on this one. In Prometheus, have they already discovered planets? and ETslife forms? or is this the 1st? as it shows in what holloway says in his talk to the crew WHEN they arrive at the moon. And is this the case in ALien? have we already travelled to diff planets and discovered nerw life forms? i know its mentioned in Aliens but thats way into the future right? 57 years after Alien? so over 80 years AFTER Prometheus? i remember it being mentioned over 300 surveyed planets? when Ripley is being questioned? and also the marine mention a species they get it on with when having dinner after hyper sleep?

In Prometheus they should know about other planets. Life, well that's what they are looking for now. In Alien The crew comes from another planet where they digg stuff that's being processed abourd the ship on it's way back to earth, so yeah they do know and use planets. I don't know if they know about other alien life in Alien.

According to the Weyland industries site and timeline, they have already terraformed and started to colonize a bunch of new worlds. So in Prometheus my guess is yes to finding planets, since astronomers can do that today anyways by measuring light from stars. Probably yes to life after all those different planets, but probably no to intelligent life. and to travel to the alien planet from earth probably only takes a few weeks to a few months if they are traveling faster than the speed of light.

Very probable, but is it mentioned in Weyalnd site or Alien movie that they know of extra terrestrial (no intelligent) lifeforms?

Shawluv:D- I seriously doubt that there will be lightspeed (or anything remotely close to it) travel in this film seeing as how that is impossible even conceptually. As you approach the speed of light, your mass grows toward infinity. This is why only photons can travel the speed of the light (they have no mass).
