I know Roy Batty had all over (his top half anyway) tattooed on Blade Runner, the reason is obviousley different... maybe it's just an ode to that. Or avisually striking statement, with so many (more than Alien) crew instantly the audience can recognize him? Like glasses, hairstyles and colours as well as maybe to let the viewer know the "underscore" of his personalty or approach!

Yea I too have wondered about the Asian conflict thing. I wonder if they'll address his backstory at all. Ive also wondered if the tattoo over his eye has something to with being a former prisoner... It looks like the letters POO or POD ... Could mean "Prisoner Of" something... Either way, amazing visual character I'm excited about him and know literally nothing lol
