Weyland born in 1979 - Alien connection?

Guy Pearce is 44 according to his bio on IMDB. Assuming his character, Peter Weyland, is the same age, in the 2023 TED talk he would be 44 years old. That would make his year of birth 1979. Tenuous Alien connection I know, but coincidence or design? Or imaginary straw-clutching for people who should have things to do. Like me, lol. But seriously, any views on this?
