A 15 rating is not going to be scary and Ridley said in feature video he wants to "scare the sh!t out of you". How can you do that with 15 that is fit for 15 year old kiddies sigh.

We don't know that it won't be scary......A brilliantly made horror film does not have to rank off the ratings scale to be truly frightening....I am as glad as anyone that the MPAA rating in the U.S. is R, but I really do wish we would all stop seeing the ratings as an end all be all of whether or not this kove will be good or not......

^^ But is the same cut as for the UK if so an R rating can go two ways with 15 rating over here. Does the film, have lot of swearing like, fu**ker motherf**ker c**t? As words like that can get a comedy an R rating. What was the Woman in Black rated? It was scary as hell and had almost no gore whatsoever. Besides, as far as scares are concerned, I think a five foot alien serpent working its way down your throat and into your insides is scary enough...

@andy'scat dude, just stop it, who cares? ratings are decided on what is violent visually, such as blood and nudity, not on the visuals that get under your skin per-say, for example the grudge is only rated pg-13 in america because it did not have that much blood in it, but the visuals are still fucking creepy as hell! yeah the movie isn't that great but that's besides the point, it gets under your skin! just like alien, and i don't think that 15 year olds could really be called "kiddies" your acting like its going to be a preschool playground or something, who cares who is in the theater with you!!! if there is a 15 year old sitting next to you, that should not take away from the experience at all unless he is being a dick and talking or something like that. so yeah, does not need top be rated high to be good, the only thing good that comes out of a higher rating is purely that extra artistic freedom, that's what its for. and also, you just said that alien was re rated 15 where you are, does that rating change make you like it any less? i sure hope not....

thats why i got frustrated at people who said they wanted an nc-17 rating, that would just hurt the movie not help it!!!!!

i think your being a little prejudice, just because there were "kiddies" being noisy does not make all "kiddies" like that, adults can be just as bad, and "kiddies" can be just as good.
