BH employed by Fox?

MemberOvomorphMay 27, 20121084 Views29 RepliesI was just wondering if you are employed by Fox BugHunter?
If not, you should be, the promotion and anticipation you have generated for Prometheus is beyond marketing. There are a great many people that are going to view this movie, and even more with greater anticipation because of Prometheus-Movie.com
What has been your motivation? Are you just a hardcore Alien, RS fan or are you an entrepreneur who spotted an opportunity?
Thank-you for the awesome site, you have made my last few weeks very interesting and my movie experience will be all the better because of you.
I live in UK so will be viewing on 1st June, 5 more sleeps to go :-)

Great post, BH! I was waiting for you to chime in before I posted.
This site is absolutely amazing and has a different vibe from the other Prometheus sites out there. This is owed completely by BugHunters leadership and high standards. He treats this site as if it were a reflection of FOX and that's what makes the difference. We get to enjoy mature, civilized, adult discussions in an atmosphere that is free of fanboy-dom, ePeeners and egotists!

I wish... :-)
I just think this site (and it's staff) don't get enough recognition. I visit most days to get my fix and find it hard to understand that Fox don't have a site like this to promote their movie.
Then again, that don't have to as this one already exists :-)

From my personal experience with BH and everything he's said to me...I would say most certainly that he is NOT employed by FOX.....
I know he had to petition FOX for the rights to use official logos and trademarks for Prometheus...
Thank you for the compliments. I take my "work" here seriously because I love this stuff as much as you guys and gals.....

...and so it will hopefully continue far beyond Prometheus, towards Prometheus II! Yeah, also tip my hat to BH, the rest of the gang and to US!

I thoght it WAS the official site when I first joined up many moons ago........ Hehe. Moon. :-P
Not only that, I've found that the people that inhabit this place (no shame guys, we're all addicts by now :-P ) are more friendly and intelligent when it comes to their sci-fi. If I had to endure one more of the AvP fanboys swear black and blue those things are part of the canon of the Alien universe I was gonna go postal :-P

I've only been here for a few days, but I'm loving the enthusiasm, input & ideas. Wish I'd found this site sooner, but better late than never. It rocks!!
If you did work for Fox could you please put in a good word for me with Ridley?? It's too late for Prometheus, but I'd do anything to be on the (hopefully soon) Bladerunner set.......cleaner, painter, coffee person........................

Hi mango4739,
To answer your question, no I am not employed by FOX. Would I like to be? Perhaps! Haha, but not sure if that's in the cards right now. I have always been an ALIEN franchise fan and was following this project for over 3 years now - ever since it was first announced.
The reason I built this site was to post the latest news on the film and build as much hype for the film as possible. I may not work for fox, but I certainly want to contribute to their success with Prometheus. So I focused this site to be mainly community driven. As with the web such a rich place to engage your audience, I figured generic film promo sites (official sites) tend to lack that aspect and don't offer much more than a trailer to the average user. I wanted to change this with Prometheus-Movie.com and engage the audience, build hype and get the word out. It was also my "poster-boy" for my upcoming business which deals in this very thing - promotion by engaging client/fan base.
Along with my own personal knowledge of search engine optimization, web design and development, we managed to score high ranks on Google which was later recognized by other major players in the film news industry and since then we've continued to grow.
My most exciting moment to this date - working WITH Fox. Different title, but equally as exciting for me at least. When we got to work with FOX in promoting the second "Weyland Product Ad" for the Med Pod 720i, that was when this site really started kicking off.
So to sum it all up for those who don't want to read through my entire ramblings (I don't blame you, haha) - I do not work at Fox, I made this site out of personal enjoyment of the franchise and a will to help Fox succeed and evidently open up doors for a sequel and to grow a fan base which had been so long forgotten. True Alien fans have graced this site since the beginning - fans who saw Alien in theatres back in 1979. It's been a great ride and I'm very excited to see the franchise taking a new approach and re-inventing Sci Fi once again.
Thanks for the kind feedback! Very happy to have all of you and the rest on this site with us! It would not be nearly as enjoyable without all your thoughts and theories posted all over this place. So thank you!
I hope most if not all of you plan to return here after you see Prometheus to discuss everything you saw! I know I will!

Hats off to you Chris, that's a truly great response! I will most certainly be here after the release and far beyond, hopefully witnessing this site to improve even further and to build up more excitement and tension for a very possible production of a Prometheus sequel (or two).
This community is really quite amazing and it feels, despite the large number of members, still like a small family! I'm glad to be somehow part of it!
