Extended Prometheus Featurette At 2:50 Ridley Scott says there will be "various forms of biology and biomechanoid." Will there be other biomechanic organisms in this movie besides the Space Jockeys? All the creatures we've seen so far in the trailers looked solely biological. No, David isn't, because he has no organic componants. @Shane; Agreed! They just poo-poo androids like they are nothing, hell people get more excited about an iPod. XD

Thats a tricky question because its how we define Bio-Mechniod. Bio-Mechnoid may not be the same as Bio-Mechanical depends how you use it. A Cyborg could be classed as that as its part Organic part Mechanical. The Replicants also.... But Bio-Mechnoid could simply mean a Mechanical Creature made from Biological Parts..... which means that even Humans are Bio-Mech because we are Robots that are made using Biological components. I think Ridley is meaning that there are various forms of Alien Creatures in this movie.

Does David count as being Biomechanical? Cause we have seen him a hell of a lot in the commercials.

yes, you meant it. Does Ridley Scott mean it like that? I love how a fully functional android with that complex of a logic circuit is so common place in scifi now we just completely overlook what a marvel of science that would actually be. Plus, it is a great way to say "No, David is biomechanical". Plus, there is still the idea that the jockey suit is alive. And it has been clearly seen as well.
