MemberOvomorphMay-30-2012 10:41 AMSomeone updated the plot section to the Prometheus movie article on Wikipedia. I only skimmed through it without reading any details, but basically someone updated the plot with the movie's full story.
I guess now that Prometheus has been released in Europe, all of us who haven't gotten it as early as them are under the risk of running into spoilage.
Anyway, this thread was made just as a friendly reminder to my fellow Americans, as well as other nationalities who have to wait for the movie. I think the French got this movie first, and the UK gets it tomorrow, but different sources have detailed different things and as such I'm confused.
Just a heads-up, everybody.

No problem.

Good reaction time is a nice thing. As for farting, well, it happens to some people.

I totally agree. They should lock down the plot section until it gets released in the United States......then again, some countries don't get this movie until months later, so we ought to think about them too. :

MemberOvomorphMay-30-2012 11:03 AMSorry about that. I edited some parts of that wiki, especially the much feared last sentece of the plot. Lol

MemberOvomorphMay-30-2012 11:05 AMIt has happened to me in UK when a film is released in US. I recall seeing the plot for i think was either The Dark Knight or Inception, one or the other and the plot was there on wiki, again i had to fart/scroll to get away as quick as i could ;)

MemberOvomorphMay-30-2012 11:05 AMSO I READ IT............This movie is pretty sci fi from everything that is posted on wiki right now. I think this movie is gonna be pretty awesome! Based on what i know so far about the movie from clips and trailers it seems as though some things are not mentioned in this wiki link but the foundation to the movie is there. All I can say is I am pissed that these critics got to view the movie and were able to post their thoughts up. It stirred up more curiosity to spoil the movie for myself. But i am not going to be like Homer Simpson in front of the line waiting to see Empire Strikes Back and announce to everyone "wow Marge that movie was great, who'd thought that Darth Vader was Luke Skywalker's father." i suggest that no one view it at all!

MemberOvomorphMay-30-2012 12:05 PMDon't worry-I removed everything (Just squinted my eyes, highlighted everything in (space jockey) blue and pressed *delete*. Decided to save the rest of the fans and those who hadn't seen the movie. Why should we be subjected to spoilers when it hasn't come out here but has in Europe and Australia? F**k that! If they want to enjoy the film, fine-but let the other continents have the courtesy to do so as well; as long as I mention this final piece of advice:
THY SHALL KEEP THY SPOILERS TO THYSELF
THY SHALL KEEP CONTROL OF THEY MOUSEPAD!!

Thanks, StarBeastEngineer0001, but it looks like the Wikipedia article retains its plot details. Worse yet is that you can see the first paragraph when you go on that page now; before that was a little box saying that citations were missing or some other stuff.
As for your commandments, people are too chemically-lazy to comprehend things like that; they'll feel like they're being "shackled", thus not "free".....free to post things online because they can, not giving a damn about whoever reads them, probably not thinking anyone will read them....but it's the Internet, and things can be found on the Internet, to say the least. It's like how people get early copies of the next COD game, a month in advance, then post their cell-phone camera footage to YouTube just to say "I HAS IT!!" and then all of us are unable to resist wanting to see the spoilage. Companies do take down those videos, but there's no stopping people from uploading them again.
Anyway, I feel so tempted to replace the plot details with the lyrics to Let's Fighting Love, but I don't think it's worth it. :

MemberOvomorphMay-30-2012 10:57 PMYou should be ashamed for changing the plot in Wikipedia, just because the movie hasn't been released yet in the US. Who do you think you are? The internet cops and judges who decide what goes in there and where? There are hundreds of countries beside the US in the world and Wikipedia is not yours nor belongs to the fans of a couple of Prometheus forums online. You have no moral rights to go change the plot of a movie in Wikipedia, if people want to go there and check that out is their business, not yours, and if you don't want to be spoilered until the movie arrives to your country just stay away from the sites that may contain information about the movie's plot.
I'm writing this to the ones who have said that entered to Wikipedia and changed things, not to all the people of this forum.
