Hello all...first post. Let me just say...I'm a huge alien/aliens saga fan. I have some questions if someone could answer that has seen the movie... Will do my best to not ask the same ?s that have already seen on this forum I HAVE NOT SEEN THIS MOVIE... 1. Does anyone know the purpose of the snake/alien...is it just some sort of guardian for the ampule room...or just some alien wildlife that just happens to be there perhaps left over from some experiment..? 2 . I'm curious as to what the end game alien lifeform looks like, the squid one...more details please..anyone got a pic yet..? 3. I'm curious as to why the engineer is upset to the point where he just wants mayhem with the crew..? Anyone have an explanation..? I will be seeing Prometheus at least twice next week in the states when it comes out next week. Good to see a lot of fellow Alien/Prometheus fans on the board getting together in support of this film. Thanks

Okay, here goes... SPOILERS!!!!! 1. to me it looked like it was indeed some kind of guardian, but it could also have been some indiginous life-form. 2. have you seen '20.000 leagues beneath the sea'? There you have it. 3. Because they totally trashed his ship.

I haven´t seen it also, but: 1) Many people say that the "snake" is in fact an worm. Apparently by opening the door of the ampule room the crew contaminated it with their own microscopic terrestrial lifeforms, that in entering in contact with the black goo of the ampules, created the worms. One pal even told about tiny worms falling from the ceiling... 2) have seen no pic 3) I think we will stay in the dark about this; actually Shaw left the planet and took the route to the homeworld of the Engineers to find why. 1. Does anyone know the purpose of the snake/alien...is it just some sort of guardian for the ampule room...or just some alien wildlife that just happens to be there perhaps left over from some experiment..? -there are little worms all around the temple ..and little rivers of black goo ...so i think the cobralien is a worm that did fall in the black goo ( i dont remember if the movie actually show that ) 2 . I'm curious as to what the end game alien lifeform looks like, the squid one...more details please..anyone got a pic yet..? Is a mix between an octopuss and a hand ... an octopuss with fleshy skin ... 3. I'm curious as to why the engineer is upset to the point where he just wants mayhem with the crew..? Anyone have an explanation..? yup there is not explaination ...David talk to him seconds before he kill almost everyone .

I've created a thread showing the lifecycle of the creatures and describing them all. As someone walks, worms come out of the rubble under his foot. The urns leak goo and we see worms entering the goo.
