MemberOvomorphMay-31-2012 6:40 PM@Spartacus - Love the "Tears in Rain" gif dude, one of my all time favorite movies and scenes - pro Rutger and perfect musical score by Vangelis.
Burbank will probably be retarded crowded that night although there aren't gonna be many places that aren't when it premiers.
As much as I wanna see it ASAP I really dread large crowds of reckless people. I doubt I'll wait past Saturday though. :)

MemberOvomorphMay-31-2012 8:59 PMThe white dome is deceiving fron the outside...it's pretty vast inside..you gotta RUN most of the time for those center seats with a view with nobody in front of you.

Despite my belief that over time somehow that film has lost some of it's luster, that scene you mentioned will forever be emblazoned and Forever..."Gentle in my mind"...a la "Glen Campbell"!

MemberOvomorphMay-31-2012 10:03 PMI purchased my tickets for the Burbank midnight show next Thursday! I'm so excited! Does that make me a geek? I tried others theaters but that was the only one offering tickets. I hope it's a good theater. I'm going to the SAG Film Society screening Saturday too but it won't be IMAX, only 3D. I don't care about the negative and so, so reviews. I need a movie like this just to challenge me and inspire my creative juices. So glad it's rated R! Thank you Sir Ridley!!

I bought tickets to the midnight showing at Burbank literally two months ago, maybe a little more.
I'm getting there several hours early to make sure I have the best seat. If you see a guy with a black The Thing t-shirt on, say what's up.

MemberOvomorphJun-01-2012 4:47 AM@ Mother Alien I too will be at Edwards Ontario Mills IMAX. Small world

MemberOvomorphJun-02-2012 11:16 PM@ADH0983
Ok I will look out for ya and say hey! I have no idea what I'll be wearing but I will get there early too. I didn't think about about getting there "several hours" earlier but I hope about 90 minutes is ok for good seats - maybe two hours if there is going to be some kind of stampede or something. I am so excited!!

MemberOvomorphJun-05-2012 5:24 AMHeading to the Arclight Dome for the 12:01 showing. There really is no other option for me outside of the main theater at Graumann's, which obviously won't be screening it. For the sole purpose of the Dome's massive curved screen, awesome projection and kick-ass sound, then the choice is clear. Saw "Alien" there as a commemorative screening several years ago, and it kicked ass!
Plus, since it most likely will be a mostly industy and fanboy crowd, it should be pleasant viewing (the theater and its patrons has no tolerance for cell users and texters!)
Will post results on Friday!
