The ships hologram certainly hinted that there was lots of linked planets (possibly with human seeds on them) created by the engineers. I'm still trying to get my head around aspects of the film. was the opening scene taking place on earth? If so were they telling us that the engineer we see sacrificed himself to introduce their creation to our world? Were we the intended life form result or merely a first stage creature that the black ooze is then used on to create their eventual outcome? As it has similar effects on most lifeforms (the mealworms transforming in the urn chamber) were the engineers preparing to dispatch ships to all the planets we see highlighted in the holographic projection? Maybe it was an en mass test for several subjects? So many questions! I'm hoping for a sequel.

And since the year they seeded earth, how many of those planets crumbled? How many were destroyed by warm, famine, hit by meteors? The list can go on and on.
So much to play with in that idea. So much.

Yes i think so, i like this idea, they seed planets to harvest etc . the xeno has some special significance for them, perhaps its like the basis of all their biotech (think of the efficient use the american indians get from the buffalo hence it was important in their culture.. hence the murals..)
hehe whatever one thinks of the film, the scope to speculate is still enjoyable.
