Question for Those Who Have Seen Prometheus

I'd suggest you watch prometheus first, then see alien(s). I honestly think people who have never seen alien(s) will like prometheus more...

It has nothing to do with alien and the tiny tiny tiny alien reference makes no sense anyway. It's about as much a prequel to alien as ghostbusters is to independence day. Forgive my sarcasm but I have just got home after spending £20 on watching 2 hours of Prometheus crap

I saw Prometheus in 3D last night and I absolutely loved every second. Yes it undeniably has Alien connections for the avid fan but surprisingly I believe it's also a worthy stand-alone movie. If your girlfriend really can't be bothered with Alien don't worry as Prometheus is a beautiful and sometimes horrific attack on the senses. Enjoy my friend.

She's probably better off not watching alien tbh my viewing of Prometheus was spoiled by what I wanted to happen not happening

I would be interested if you watched Promethues first to see what you think of it as a stand alone film. Maybe write a review on that basis?

you dont need to watch alien to see this movie, its just if you have seen alien you might see things that look similar in terms of design of sets, etc

I'd agree with suggestions to watch Prometheus first if you haven't seen the Alien films. The Alien films have set the bar very high and in my opinion Prometheus was always going to pale in comparison because of this. I even think Alien 3 is better Having said that, the link between Prometheus and Alien are at present, minimal. They're set in the same universe, but storywise we're looking at very different themes, science and monsters.

My advice to you is just stay at home and watch Alien & Aliens. Pretend Prometheus hasnt been made.

go an see it........i dnt care what any1 else says...this ives u the entire answer to where the alien race came from....u bare witness to the 1st type of facehugger and also the early stages in the development of the chestburster.....the 'spacejocky' race made a biological weapon that evolves at a tremendous rate. Weyland incounter it and explains now y in alien ash is already so keen to get a sample home to earth. (company orders)....this is def a prequel.....did ppl watch it to the end when we witness the 1st resemblance of a queen alien???? the enitre film is about its development. if they do another film its to find out y this weapon was designed to wipe out the human race...........the alien franchise is all about weyland trying to get it for themselves.

I would watch Prometheus first then Alien cause Prometheus is fan made called Alien The Beginning so watch Prometheus first then Alien glad to help! ^.^

it deosnt matter witch film you see first, its all set in the same universe but dont expect to see loads of aliens and action prometheus is a very very good sci fi film

Prometheus works well as a standalone movie, but some passing familiarity with Alien would I think enhance your enjoyment. To get the most out of the new movie, I'd recommend not to expect too much from the story but instead to focus on just enjoying the lush and intricate visuals. Good luck!
