Oh right so you like it so we all must right? It poor scifi movie in my book which ever way you look at it. I'm not stopping you from enjoying it but don't jump down my throat because I didn't find it enjoyable. I'm sick of everyone saying what amazing visuals like visuals are the only thing that matters in a movie

Dude, the movie is really bad. The story is all over the map, and the characters are mostly boring. Have you seen the pictures of the proto xeno that are being posted... That thing looks ridiculous.

Hello I think if ALL the questions were answered there would still be some folk not happy. I loved it. As for the proto xeno sketch, it only looks like that very slightly. What do people want? Gary

What so people HAVE to like this film??? What about Plot, acting, pace, sound, atmosphere, character arcs and continuity?? Do they not matter then?

Dont worry the angry mob will go away when they will find something else to bash to satysfy their egos .... Then we will return to talk in peace about prometheus and maybe Prometheus 2 for another couple of years :p

I didn't like the film, but we all have different opinions. That people didn't like it shouldnt be taken as an attack on you - lighten up - its just a difference of opinon. I wrote a review which reflected how bad I thought it was 2.5/5. I think its a very average film. But I have outlined my reasoning for this. Rather than tell others not to see it, I would say go see it and then decide.

What 'angry mob'?? The only one's getting angry are the people who like the film. I didn't like the film but I am not having a go at people about liking it or telling anyone not to go and see it. It is JUST a film, I have seen 100's better and 100's worse. I have an opinion and you have yours.

For those of you who haven't seen it yet just remember this and I won't spoil it for you. Think of all the negative comments about sound, characters, pace blah blah blah at the moment when Prometheus lands and the crew disembark, nothing happens but the pure art of cinema gets your heart pumping out of your chest....you will then think what were those doomsters whinging about...........trust me

I didn't like the movie but I'm desperate to like it! I felt a little depressed after I'd seen it because again I so desperately wanted to like it. I know RS is a seasoned film maker and Linda Dorf or whatever his name has had success writing and what not, so therefore we should really have high expectations. But we a bunch of people sat behind our computer desks from all walks of life slagging the movie off??? Can YOU do a better job?? If so do it then!! To the People who actually liked the movie 'good for you!' I wish I was you.

I'm sick of it too! I was expecting to be on here talking about how good it was along with everyone else on the board. But as soon as I left the cinema feeling quite empty and racked with disappointment I just knew many would be feeling the same. As I said, I'm sick of this feeling! I want to wake up tomorrow still waiting to see the film but this time I'll love it. To make it worse Alien was on TV last night. Watching it was just like rubbing salt into the Prometheus wound. When they found the SJ in the chair I tried very hard to forget all about Prometheus. I couldn't and so in a way Alien has been spoilt a little by Prometheus. I guess I'll have to think about it the same wy I think about The Matrix - 2 and 3 never existed. Matrix 1 was the only Matrix film ever made. Same with Star Wars - Episodes 1, 2 & 3 do not exist!

HERE IS A RANT AGAINST IT ALL I THINK APPLIES HERE AS WELL... If you hated LOST and knew you hated LOST beforehand and that Lindelof was wrtting this why are you EVEN HERE now? Very Arrogant to dismiss anybodys opinion that says it wasn't good. Of course its not the worst film. but everyone is entitled to their opinion, and i look forward to debating, the pros and cons. but for me the flaws in this are major, and just can't be swept aside. Thats why for me its an Average film.

Have you seen it Spartacus?? I have never watched lost nor had any interest in watching Lost. I didn't have an agenda of hate against lindelof but he and Mr Spaihts screwed up with the story in my opinion and i am sticking to that opinion. I went into this film with an open mind and unfortunately was hugely dissapointed... How are we wrong to come in here and slam (which i don't think most people are doing) a film we don't like it?? I am not stating that i can do a better job at writing the script (not sure i could do any worse though) but then i wasn't paid millions to do it was i ? If you just want people to come in and say how good the film is then i think this site needs to be closed down immediately ( or change the site name to Prometheus is great despite what anyone says.com ) cause whats the point. People are entitled to their opinions and if you don't like it tough... Good use of Caps by the way... My god you need to chill out, watch the film and if you like it good for you...

Prometheus is a fine film and a solid addition to the genre. There is nothing wrong with it. I've discarded most of the negative reviews on this site as fanboy ravings that don't seem to understand nor appreciate exactly what good drama is and how it is exemplified in Prometheus. They're angry at Prometheus because it doesn't play out how THEY wanted it. You'll enjoy it.

I can understand your feelings Sparta. I think people are being too hard on this film just like they've been hard so many very enjoyable films over the years. Practically any and every piece of entertainment, whether film, book or album, gets trashed these days. People are just way too critical and spoil it for everybody. They take things too seriously and have these impossible expectations. So sick of the negativity. I'll tell you right now, I'll never get involved with a forum like this again when anticipating a film. Totally ruined the experience.

I think everybody needs to go outside of this thread and chill! people are getting way too confrontational about their opinions regarding this film... Its only a film, and this is just a forum. GROW UP and take a chill pill!!! And that goes for everyone
