detailed review (spoilers-inside)

ive had a day to think about the movie and i still think its a great movie 9/10 i do beilieve it will be mixed recieved. but the thing 82 movie was not liked at first now it is a classic, here are a few points why i liked it: prologue: the opening is epic, just epic the space jockeys look great and fit perfect for the story, and a little bit creepy as well. story: some people say the plot has holes and bit predictable i can see a little bit where they are coming from but overall still entertaining movie throughout. characters: thought all the characters were great especially vickers/david and shaw all the rest are also good and well played. visuals: some of the best visuals ive seen in a movie for years, ridley scott really does push the boundaries again scary moments: the movie as a whole has a fair few scary bits, but the trailers ruin them not the story, had we all just seen the teaser trailer there would have been more positive reviews creatures: the creatures are great in this movie, the space jockeys where fantastic, they fit perfect for the story. the scene where they open the space jockey helmet/skull was great and creepy. the cobra-hugger was powerful and effective. the fifield mutation was creepy and also effective for the story. the squid like thing was also great and the new alien at the end was a huge suprise and opened the door for more new and exciting creatures in the alien universe overall in my opinion i fully enjoyed the movie and look forward to the sequel. i just feel people overhyped the movie which always fails if you do that to any movie.
