In “Prometheus,” he does. And he delivers, in a world that has seen studio genre films grow ever less ambitious, an impressive epic about the extraordinary vastness of the universe, and the immense puniness of us.
wow, that's some last line he wrote there, find it hard to reconcile it with all the negativity !!! Somebody surely isn't being to upfront and honest and somehow I doubt it is this guy! Forgive me I just refuse to give up before I see this thing !!! Must be something wrong with me and my defective brain.

Just watch it pal fuck all the negativity and the positivity for that matter
The only person that matters is yourself and your opinion
Hope you enjoy as you do seem to be getting a little excited lol
Look forward to hearing your thoughts

This is something i've wondered about. Critics who HAVE to watch things like 'Miley Cyrus in LOL!' have to endure so much garbage that when something like Prometheus comes along I think that they perhaps truly feel the value of it.
As fans we choose what we go and see. We're spoilt. A critic doesn't have that luxury. Perhaps they truly know quality when it's in the room, because they've seen so much that isn't.

I think brigtonrock hit the nail on the head, a critic's gotta be happy when something halfway decent comes along - especially in this day and age.

Being paid to watch movies does seen the perfect job at times, but could you imagine going to work one day and having to sit through mileyCyrus Zac Efron and pauly shore Jesus you'd want a lot of cash for that days graft

I would HATE to be a film critic in this day and age full of CRAP.
Yes, Prometheus mustve been a breath of fresh air compared to what he has had to endure from such movies as Miley Cirus in LOL!
I feel sorry for movie for anyone forced to go through those sorts of movies all the time lol

Mate...
I'd rather hear my own mother beg for mercy than be a film critic.
There's just so much CRAP. There are around seven films released every week. And that's just the mainstream releases.
They must feel like they're being avalanched by a mountain of shit, and every time they open their mouth to shout 'HELP!!!!' another log just rides on in there.
My condolences to them.
