Complete Passivity: Does anyone do *anything* right?

i saw it 2 times ...and the second was even better .... about the "right" things to do , its always easy to see the "right" things to do about others , until we watch back and we see how many stupid things we have done in our life ....

Yo. After i spent MONTH DAILY in this forum and was NOT able to AWAIT till it finally COMES, i was also "not amused" about some aspects of the quality. I think the production team gave all they had - but i speculate 1. studio forced em to cut it to PG13 so some important scenes are missed? 2. lindelof hypnotized scott for month so the master accepted a dumb script Most Problems i have with - one-dimensional people, you dont have ANY empathy for them when they die - really strange, unhuman behavior of em all mostly. Rapace/Shaw operates herself in Madame Fickers "privat" room (without anybody recognizing what is going on in that apartement on the spaceship... he?=) - after self-operation is done, rapace/shaw stands up (yeah, she gave all she had and she did it fine from acting point of view..) and she goes to another room. And voila - a little "eternal life party" is going on there with (surprise surprise) an peter weyland with awfull not authentic "old man"-mask and they do some smart conversation. NOT ANYBOdY asks shaw where this blood comes from and what happens to her. strange people. Anyway - enjoy.

This is not an alien movie at all. I think you may have gone into it expecting the wrong thing. This takes place in the alien universe and there is even a scene at the end for the fanboys, but a new storyline and new direction. I doubt you will see the xenos in any sequel. The new mystery now surrounds the goo and the engineers. The people who went into this thinking it was a alien prequel did not pay attention to rs saying at least 30 times it was not, just the same universe. He simply used an old vehicle to jump start a new one. I would suggest any alien prequels or sequels will have the word alien in them. This is something new!

I stand corrected Socrates - you're right of course, it is not an Alien movie. I should have said 'It is an action movie where no one faces down the enemy'.
