MemberOvomorphMay-26-2012 6:26 PMTwo days after I see Prometheus, I'll be running an Aliens game at an Australian roleplaying convention.

'Xenomorph' takes a team from a rival corporation aboard a drifting Sulacco. It's intended as a direct sequel to the Aliens movie. You can read about the game here:

and if you're interested, there are several PDFs available from that page that give game background and character portraits.
It's been interesting writing for the Alien universe at a time when so much Prometheus material is filtering out. Even though Prometheus is a tangential prequel, learning about it has affected the way I view the later stories and especially the xenomorph itself.

All of the artwork is original, done using 3d modelling software (DAZ Studio) and Photoshop.
'Are we ready for Drop Bear?'
While playtesting for the game has begun, I am ready to do a little rewriting once Prometheus premieres here on the seventh of June. Nothing too major (I hope :) ), but enough to acknowledge that the universe we all love has some rich new streams.

I . must. have.
The story is told through the eyes of Corporal Christopher Winter, a Colonial Marine that is part of a search and rescue team sent to investigate the U.S.S. Sulaco in search of Ellen Ripley, Corporal Dwayne Hicks, and the rest of the missing marines who were dispatched to LV-426. The Sulaco, and the derelict alien spacecraft from Alien as well as LV-426 itself will all serve as environments in the game, as well as other locations yet to be detailed.

MemberOvomorphMay-27-2012 5:12 AMYes, I've been watching the game's development closely for inspiration. But this is a very different take.
