Perhaps you recall the scene of the medium human sized Space Jockey slowly moving towards Shaw, who is crouched on the floor. It had a sexual inuendo about it..We do not see the jockey from the waist up...This scene is missing in the movie

MemberOvomorphJun-08-2012 5:47 AMi could swear i saw that in the movie, but you are seoncd to say that

It's a dry heat
MemberOvomorphJun-08-2012 5:49 AMYa I didn't think about that scene until someone else noticed that too and posted it. I didn't see the scene either when I saw the movie for the first time tonight.
That's a cool looking scene in the trailers.

MemberOvomorphJun-08-2012 5:50 AMI just started a thread on this and got locked by our dear leader... You are right... It's prob a scene where they tried that and then thought it better that he charge her down...

It's a dry heat
MemberOvomorphJun-08-2012 5:57 AM@RH your first thread is what made me think about that seen. I thought the life boat ship was gonna be bigger with the engineer chasing her through the ship more. That was not the case, the ship was small and took some of the suspense out of the scene I thought.

MemberOvomorphJun-08-2012 6:01 AMi saw it :@
What i didn't see is:
trailer: David ask watching the writing on the wall "please tell me you can read this)
movie: David asks nothing, he just start reading and pushing them.

MemberOvomorphJun-08-2012 9:02 AMI thought the exact same thing when watching the film...the scene was different. In the trailer she was on the floor, against the wall looking terrified as the engineer approached her. It reminded me of the scene from Alien3 in the med lab where the Alien comes right up to Ripley's face. Maybe that's why they changed it in the final cut?

MemberOvomorphJun-09-2012 4:36 PMThere are several things in the trailer missing in the movie. Here are ones I didn't see:
1. Nowhere do you hear "the Prometheus has landed" in the movie.
2. You never see Shaw in front of the mirror with her hands clasped together almost like she is praying.
3. Shaw flying way up in the air during storm.
4. Holloway never tells Shaw "your smiling"
5. Vickers saying "changing into what?"

ShinobiX9X
MemberOvomorphJun-11-2012 10:20 AMso i was wrong, the scene with shaw on the floor, and engineer over it, is not in there.
there is the scene where she is praying.
she doesn't fly up in the storm, sh flies up when the juggernaut starts engin (looks a bit like a storm.
somebody say : changing into what?

MemberOvomorphSep-20-2012 1:53 AMthe fall,
Shaw crouching, Engineer approaching: sounds like the deleted scene FINAL AXE BATTLE (recently removed from the internet doe to obvious copyright infringement).

MemberOvomorphSep-20-2012 3:36 AMGymrat.
actually number 5 was in the movie. Charlize did say "changing into what" when they were testing the engineer head in the lab room.
As for number 4. I think I heard it in the movie, but I'm not sure though.

BigDave
MemberDeaconSep-20-2012 8:27 AMThats right the Trailers showed scenes from the movie with Dialog from other parts of the movie.
The Charlize "changing into what" was done in the trailer so it seemed like she was on about the Murals Changing. When Shaw said its Changing and Vickers reply are two Dialogs from Two parts of the movie shown in the Trailer within a different scene where in the movie neither is said.
And i think some parts of the movie shown have the same kind of thing where they sliced a few words from the cut scenes and added them to the uncut version.

MemberOvomorphSep-20-2012 6:52 PMIts in the deleted scene 'final battle', i just saw it, so they actually took a scene from a deleted scene and put it into the trailer

MemberOvomorphSep-21-2012 12:19 AMyeah I noticed the lack of "prometheus has landed" phrase too, and I really liked that part!
and here's a new one:
the part that shaw says: "an invitation" it's different in the trailer and in the movie... in the movie it's a a normal scene while in the trailer while she says that it's a close up

Custodian
MemberOvomorphSep-21-2012 1:48 AMfor me, and I've said this before, too, "Prometheus has landed," had such potency in the trailers. When it was absent from the film in such a blatant (scene was the same, just this ENORMOUS audio gap in it) way, it made me think that 'something's been lost' here (no pun intended).
I did have a HOPE that maybe this was done to show us that the theatrical first release of Prometheus WASN'T the actual film, just a sham/fake of what really happened. But 10/11/12 is looking (now) like just another DVD/bluray marketing portal and that's just pure pain sad.
"Prometheus has landed," we were ALL (all of us) waiting for this line, on touchdown on LV-223, why deny us our paid-for right?
It's like IT ROBBED US, somehow - personally, I felt violated by this POINTLESS audio removal - I actually thought, "You bastards!"

MemberOvomorphSep-21-2012 11:15 AMtotally with u freeplanet, in that scene there's nothing that could exclude that phrase, it's a hole, and I'm sure everyone liked that phrase! the second time I've watched it I was waiting for the phrase thinkin' that maybe I didn't care too much that the first time I've seen the movie but was the same! actually while waiting for the movie begins in the theathre was the phrase i've said the most LOL

MemberOvomorphSep-26-2012 7:24 AMYeah, that scene with Shaw on the floor backing up with what appears to be an engineer approaching her, is missing. That, along with and others (like Shaw clasping her hands together) were missing from the movie. I also don't recall the music from the trailer being a part of the movie which is too bad.

MemberOvomorphSep-28-2012 8:48 AMI should clarify the the music I'm referring to is in the UK trailer, starting at 0:52
Sehr geehrter Herr Maier,

MemberOvomorphDec-17-2012 1:29 PMI watched several of the trailers but enjoyed the 3:00 minute one the best,'
I thought the trailers were great in that it made me want to see that movie!
It seemed , based on the trailer, our movie would be much more tense, had much more action and seeming more horror.
I didn't know that many scenes diffeent from the final version but to my eyes they were not critical.
The version we got was more of a thoughtful detailed look at a storyline that was more of drama than the action/adventure/horror that the trailer promised.
Why couldn't we have both?
After a trailor viewing I wanted to watch the movie again!.
It was curious how the audio did not always line up with the visual shown. It was not that they were wrong..but that they were not in synch but heightened the movie goer in me to see a great movie.
It is just a little thing but in the Promo with Prometheus landing was a great, powerful visual of the massive ship settling down on the moon. It was quite impressive.
In looking over all the scenes presented in the trailer were there any scenes not represented that could have been used?
It looked to me like all of the great scenes were used. Keeping a careful eye could have decerned the storyline just from the trailer. I think that is as wrong as giving the plotline on the DVD box on the movie review.
