MemberOvomorphJune 09, 20121059 Views7 RepliesWhile I enjoyed Prometheus overall, one of the biggest changes I would make (in addition to removing the Wayland character completely) would be the ending. I hated the cheesy looking proto-xeno creature. Looked like it was wearing a dunce cap.
I would have much preferred the ending had it gone as follows (not sure I remember the dialogue exactly right):
Shaw: "I don't want to go where they were going, I want to go where they came from." (sinister smirk) "Can you do that, David?"
David: (pause) "Yes. I believe I can."
[CUT TO BLACK, cue credits]
Of course that would be even more of teaser "wait for the sequel" ending, but it would have wrapped things up in a much more cool and energetic way. Instead we got a very forced ending with a lame "final signoff" transmission from Shaw, and then the cheesy Dunce Xeno birth.
And while I'm at it...I would also have cut the contrived "I can't have a baby" cryfest from Shaw immediately before she is impregnated.
