Aliens
When Ripley was getting on the elevator with Hicks towards the end of the movie. As the doors were closing, an alien spit acid onto Hicks' armor. He dropped what looked to be his breastplate before the acid could burn through.

@dommer01 the acid isn't spit by the alien in that scene, it was shot by Hicks.
Have you heard of phoenix asteroids?
They glow in every color of the rainbow...they travel endlessly through space...

yeah, Hicks shoots an alien that is blocking the elevator door and gets sprayed with acid

I don't recall the scene in Alien 3 with the Alien spitting @Mr.Yutani and as the others said Hicks shot an Alien with caused the Acid to spray on his vest.

I always wondered: If the aliens could spit, how come they had to kill their fellow-alien in order to sear the floor in their chamber!? Why not just spit on the floor?

Well it would've been a small amount of spit that they could all generate, by killing the one alien, you got a this big vat of acid that will burn through at a very rapid pace as opposed to sitting huddled up in a corner, collectively spitting with your buddies.

I always thought that was strange in Alien 3 as no xeno before had done it and niether dogs or oxen spit. As far as I know anyway.

I kind of just ignore Alien 4. It was just such a sad destruction of a series with such potential if it could only have freed itself from the aging actress Sigorney and moved in a new direction. I hope Prometheus sparks a new series but I also hope the Aliens are included even if just via cameos.
