Would you like to see more of the Deacon in Prometheus 2? Personally I hope so....I would'nt want the story to revolve around the deacon/xeno...the engineers can take center stage...as long as it at least makes a few appearances...

I hope it looks a bit more menacing when it grows up. It probably reaches adolescence about 5 hours after birth.

Yeah, I want to know more about the Engineers. Xenomorphs had enough fame in three parts of the aliens (the fourth I don't like at all).

once that Deacon reaches an adult stage. Its going to be an absolute killing machine! i mean look at! In its infancy(chestbursted) stage It already has limbs, its more developed (pigmentation/ build), is the size of a human being, and already sports the inner jaw. Definitely a proto design.... Kinda relate it to prehistoric creatures. Its going to be very very bad as an adult....definitely something to look foward to. I just hope it retains the attributes of the original creatures (tail, wall climbing ability, etc.) Nonetheless I'll enjoy seeing it kill anyway! Its the Engineer's ultimate creation! In terms of the design i totally dig it. It looks like a reinvented xenomorph and shows how diverse their genetic adaptions are. As for the engineers, Look foward to finding out about thm in all aspects.

Yes, I really would like to see Deacon in the sequel. In fact I hope that the movie is viewed from two perspectives: 1) Planet of the Engineers with David Shaw. 2) Weyland / Yutani investigating the events of LV-223. and my thread on the Deacon and why I think it's a fast killing machine... @raptor20... yeah haha. it has that triassic pterosaur look to it. an early prehistoric look. Clearly theyll change in 30 years to the alien we all know and love, but wow... They definitely borrowed from a few different dinosaur fossils.

I think the Deacon is special because it's not like Alien where human body was used as an egg for the little fecker to grow. Here it's Holloway's infected semen that grows quickly inside Shaw's belly. (i think it's irrelevent weather Shaw was fertile or not). The Deacon is Holloways son. it's his blood. Now how would that be for that being. Will it be smart like humans? or smarter? and vicious like us etc? Will it be able to take a ship and leave? or just stay there to die alone unless someone comes say hi? etc etc

i don't get why people think the deacon is'nt cool....it's not supposed to look exactly like the original zeno....we lucky we even got something that looks remotely like the creature from alien....it's pretty close actually....i'm loving it....it's way more toothy and the extended jaw just makes way more sense now....a very fascinating concept...IMO!

The more I look at the Deacon, the freakier it gets. It's face is very benign looking, sort of baby like, which when juxtaposed next to the rest of the head, body, and extending jaw, gives off a really demonic vibe. Also, that noise that it makes is fncking downright scary. So yeah, I'd like to see at least a little bit of it in a sequel. I'd also love to see what black goo + deacon gets you.

If you notice the size of the given facehuggers are in direct relation to the size to be of the chestburster that emerges: Kane and his burster all other humans and facehuggers alike during the course of the Alien franchise well now size is EVERYTHING NOW!!! The giant Squid Hugger and as luck would have it the Bio Engineer was ensnared by it. So the Deacon that eventually emerged was as some have said here already, very large for it's birthing process so it's growing up is going to be exponential and massive! I hope any way! I wonder what would have been the case had it been Shaw that had succumbed to the writhing thing? Because as has been presented so far during the evolutionary course of the Alien franchise is that no laid embryo come Chestburster can be larger than the sum of its hosts parts in a manner of speaking otherwise it would defy the laws of physical evolution and Spacial laws are what every living thing MUST obey, it is a spacial standard. Adaptations can come about as a result of scientific tampering or unique natural biological circumstances but they have all and above have to be extremely unique in their origin as to have a discernable effect to potentially defy evolutionary dynamics. It could possibly be a dwarve version of the same liniage of species within Shaw if it had got to her.

Yes, but if that is the case then how does 'She' get from LV-223 over to LV-426? Or into a ship that takes 'Her' up then crash-lands that way on LV 426?

The sequel must include Engineers going about their business/society and how they handle the appearence of Shaw/David// The Engineers are expecting Shaw and David....and have had some contact/connection to the Weyland Industries...

The Thing is this... Ridley wants to avoid the Xeno, it has been done to death in Prometheus we just saw a redesign of the Xeno and Face Hugger in the Trilobite Squid and Deacon. If he wants to further himself away from the Xeno, then going the route of the Deacon is not the answer and especially if he wants the movie to be set in same universe and cannon to Alien as opposed to how AVP is not. The Engineers, and why they created us, who created them, what else have they created and why they wanted us dead is a much more interesting new story to go visit as opposed to just do a franchise about a Evolution of the Xeno Bio Weapon.

I doubt the Deacon will become the Queen. We see the Deacon in the Mural, and it really looks nothing like what the queen evolves into ( heads close but body is way off in size/proportion). I have a feeling that the deacon is it's own offshoot of the Xeno, and its stuck there on 223. I do think that there was a specific design for the Deacon and that one will pop up in the next film, but I doubt that it will be the one on 223. The Mural in the room with the head shows that the Engineers are fully aware of what happens when one of them is host to a Xeno. and I think that will play a greater role when Shaw and David find out why humans were created, and what is the fate of the Engineers, as it seems the only ones left alive were stuck in "sleep". I like the idea that there is a lone Deacon on 223, it adds to the horror of "well ...someones going to bungle along on to this planet too eventually, and all hell will break loose"

i hope they find a way to tie it into the story well. it has to make sense, cant jus pop outta nowhere. ohhhhh, if anything, i say it got on the ship with shaw and david(unlikely) or the possible investigative crew on lv 223 then when they meet up with shaw and david and go to the engineer home world, the three species star battling(because of mysterious deaths that we know were the deacon being a scary monster,) and for the heck of it, wat if a lucky engineer got away in the juggernaut brought by shaw and david, but that doesnt explain the eggs in alien, oh well, i jus hope they make a sequel cuz im dying to find out wat the heck happens!!
Deacon after it exposed to black goo!
Oh my god...I think this might be it. In Paradise, the Deacon wonders around the temple, exposes itself with the black goo, and turns into the xenomoph that we see in Alien/Aliens.

"..Deacon after it exposed to black goo!.." After recent viewing of the final scenes in Prometheus several questions came to mind. I thought because goo was part of the Holloway/Shaw/Alien/Deacon connection that goo had already done it's magic. Like a vaccine a second dose may not work. In our movie no alien creatures are actually killed. The infections in Fifield and Holloway were killed but in the context of the alien being a function being. Now with the Deacon emerging at the end are there any enemies that would even try to kill this new being? From what we have seen nobody is left. So here we have an almost perfect being, The Deacon, with no know predators, stuck on a moon with no living organisms to take over and make more Deacons? I don't believe it and that should be the focus of P2. Also as Shaw is saying she is still searching as she is leaving this moon is there anyway she might turn around and discover the deacon? I mean what if David has sort of kept tabs on the happennings in the wrecked Juggernaut could he influence the retrun trip to the Domes? The Deacon's appearence is too dramitic to be overlooked. As has been suggested maybe this the start of the xeno line that eventually appears in Alien. Then Shaw/David Paradise adventure is a new storyline in the Alien Universe,,,but not a direct prequeal to the 1079 movie.
