Good one. "Touch the snake!" Anyways, it just occurred to me is it possible that David infected himself by touching the black goo with his bare hands as his 1st experiment... and the sleeping Engineer detected this? David is cleverly following the Agenda of the Alien to infect the homeworld... Kind of like Satan wants to spread sin to Paradise like the title the movie was supposed to be, "Paradise"?
