A proposal that focuses on "The Rapture", that Christian religious interpretation of some sectors that has led them to anticipate, and even predict, the doomsday scenario known as the rapture of the Church, where the living righteous are rescued by God and sinners are doomed to eternity in limbo so hellish day. Or something like that.

The novel in question dates from 2011, is the work of Tom Perrotta (Election, Little Children) and according to Stephen King, this is practically "the best episode of The Twilight Zone you could not see." Lindelof co-write the pilot with Perrotta and if HBO decides to greenlight the project, will be showrunner. A scenario quite interesting, despite my growing apprehensions to the producer of Lost, and in fact I wanted to read the novel that is just over $ 13 hardcover version on Amazon.
