Thoughts on the Dark Knight Rises

So, my lovely Gurlfrenn just booked us tickets to the pant-shittingly anticipated The Dark Knight Rises and at the BFI IMAX no less. But why is it then, as a life-long Batman fan, that after the four year wait and year-long, ever intensifying marketing campaign I am overcome with what can only be described as blockbuster ennui? I'm worried the film's going to be overtly anti-occupy and conservative. You can read my full break-down of the film and the conservatism of the first two HERE Just wonder what the lovely, intelligent gang here will make of it! :P

Daylight filming and Batman just don't go well together, I'm afraid. Batdude: The Daylight Squire?

My only concern is they cannot in any way match what was done by Ledger in the last one...so there may be a big let down not having a performance as strong as that one was in it. But it's Nolan and Looks great again.

I think last movie, even during daylight was good because of joker, not batman. I am waiting for initial reviews from some people who I think are trustworthy in case of review before going to movie.

Not that I care one way or the other, but just a thought... there are plenty of liberal, left-leaning movies out there, so what's wrong with a conservative, right-leaning one? Regardless, my wife and I will be seeing this opening weekend in IMAX for sure. Ledger did quite well in the last one, but I have a feeling Hardy's Bane will be quite good as well. Pure destruction, no discussion or banter... a different kind of enemy.

In Hardy I trust. Watch Bronson or Warrior to see him bring the pain. Great British actor.
