No doubt about it, it was the excorcist. It still brings a chill to my bones when I watch today

Hellraiser is pretty creepy...
and martyrs disturbed me so badly i couldn't sleep LOL
also if you want to get creeped out try david lynch films... they are pretty messed up.
especially eraserhead and blue velvet.
but then again, i'm 18 and i've seen hundreds of scary horror filsm....so not much scares me anymore :)

exorcist definitely for that staircase scene..
grave encounters for the mind bending horror ...
jeepers creepers for flying horror stuff.
the tunnel..when frankenstein monster jumps on guard...
I think creepy stuff don't remain in mind much for me these days..but have plenty to say.. lol

Another movie which I consider scary. Is John Carpenters Halloween. That novie is a true classic. It began the slasher films. But Carpenter out did himself with the that film. What added flavor to it was the sountrack. I love it.

Don't Look Now w/ Donald Sutherland filmed back in the late 70's or early 80's. Something about murders in Venice, the end is really creepy....
I should reach the frontier in about 6 weeks. With a little luck, the network will pick me up. This is Ripley, last survivor of the Nostromo....

Don't Look now... I have to see it again to remeber it...

@ripleysclone
LOL finally i've found someone who liked martyrs! *brofist*

Jim100a100July 04, 2012
agree with Ripley Clone8:
Martyrs (and Inside), both French, are mind bending horror films.
But I'll say, the ones that really send chills down my spine if I'm watching alone at 2am are those "found footage" movies. Problem is, there's hasn't been a "masterpiece" yet. REC and Paranormal Activity (2?) come close, but somebody has yet to truly take full advantage of that genre IMO

RubirosaJuly 04, 2012
I found Martyres more disturbing then scary @Riple Clone 8. It distubed me because I could see that happening for real. Just like Hostel, these types of macbre situations would take place in Eastern Europe more then any place else. When people who have a lot of money to throw around, they tend to get there rocks off expirementing on people. Or they just get bored with everyday life because they have done everything. So they take it to the next level and choose people as there target.
