I think putting him together doesn't matter. Another voice is all you need for an outward conversation (unless you get all David Lynch and focus on still mouths when you hear thoughts!) Look at Star wars with Luke and R2 in an xwing... Look at Dark Star and the conversation with the frozen Captain... Look at Moon and Kevin Spacey... Look ans you'll find similar examples in decent books or scripts. It all depends on how well it's written!

I typed out a post but remembered something I had forgotten which makes my post retarded so...

His head was able to function away from the Body so maybe he can still be used in pieces.... Unless he has to somehow get into the Pilot Chair in order to fly it. Then again maybe there is a way that the body can get into the suit and head separately. Its going to be interesting to see how Ridley goes with the idea of how Shaw and David manage to fly a Juggernaut Ship.

Always thought this was one of the least plausible scenarios of ALIEN. Clip a couple Jumper cables and a car battery onto Ash's head and he can start conversing...same with David in Prometheus. It implicates all that white fluid (which must surely bleed out in a matter of seconds) is unnecessary for the the robot to function. So lets assume that that's true, the white fluid is just there for lubrication of the extremities, or whatever...we're to believe that Shaw could piece together this highly complex piece of technology with no specialized tools or equipment?
