Hope you're all having a great day so far.
I decided to ask a unique question about the film we all saw here for 2 reasons...
The first is I have not seen that anyone else here has asked it and if someone could point me to any thread where anyone else did that would be great. If Not...here's my question...
The 2nd is, it has been driving me bat sh** and is stuck in the back of my brain like that time YOU struck out at "T-Ball". LOL...
I call them "Ressonance Hollograms".
TWICE, at least, in this film, David activates what appear to be Holographic "Resonance Memories" of the Space Jockey's Past Physical Actions On Board the Derelict Ship.
One time, while David8 is holding the Holographic sphere of EARTH, it seems like all the POWER just immediately DRAINS from the Whole "Sparkling Holographic Orgasm" and then in an instant everything just collapses on itself and goes dark to the pulse of the lone SJ in stasus.
What the heck are "Holographic Resonance Memories" and is that even scientifically possible?

Could someone explain to me what was actually going on with that whole star chart Holographic MEMORY Resonance...why were we shown that? Why was it important we saw it, so we could wonder about what the SJ's were doing with those Holograms or was there some meaning and purpose in them {there must have been} that I might have and "prolly" missed? ALL of the crew saw the Holograms of the SJ's fleeing in the tunnels {were "prolly" running from a Deacon, or whatever it was it burst out of one of them that's for sure} so something about the whole process of it and what we were actually seeing needs explaining for me...Help...lol...
any help in this regard would be great!
Most importantly, after you explain how it is possible...why did it suddenly "shut off"...at the very moment and in the very way it did.

MemberOvomorphJan-13-2013 2:28 PM Why do the hoograms even exists? It wopuld have to be a continuous recording or perhaps a motion activated system.
To that sort of sets up an alrm.
If the brief walking about in the Big Head room triggers such dramatic response in the atmosphere(and eventually urns) then some sensing sytem but have captured our crew arrivial, followed their walks around and informed soem off-moon central clearing house about the Prometheus intruders.
THis homeworld is now alerted.
Seeing two Juggernauts trying to leavr the Moon must have set off major alarms in the Engineer's world.
I don't by the line of tghinking that it is a forgotten outpost just wastiong away.
I do think that an alerted homeword will have a special greeting for two crew members when they arrive in a Juggernaut.

MemberOvomorphJan-13-2013 2:46 PMif you think about it its a more efficient idea than regular cctv if a camera catches an incident from a poor angle you cant find out as much as if the whole event in 3D is played out in the exact environment it was captured from to be viewed from any given angle how it would be captured well i imagine there must be multiple recording devices, as for why the replay suddenly ended i agree with zz the record ended when bob settled down to sleep maybe he shut down everything except life support systems

And what a dramatic ending if the storyline about escaping xeno/goo.
THat would mean Bob was indeed in chargd not expecting anyone til his relief showed up.
THat would sort of explaing his reaction of being bit confused and kncking the old man(Weyland) down. He was sorting things out and everybody he saw was below his rank.
He wass in charge of this installation(at least his Juggernaut) and assumed everybody was or would be working for him.
zz.. I ll need to read over your notes on this subject.
