Excellent!! The only 3D buray I own now is Tron Legacy. This will be number 2. The 3D in IMAX was crazy good.

Went to US Amazon to go ahead an buy the pre-release 3d.

Hmmm dont want to touch this till the directors cut anyone know when thats out? I saw prometheus in 3D at IMAX 2 it was a bit blurry and I forgot it was in 3D after 10 minutes as usual 2D's better I reckon...

@crabfart: There is actually no evidence whatsoever to suggest that a "directors/extended cut" of the film is going to be released. Ridley himself has stated that he'd like to incorporate the excised footage (approx. 15-20 mins) into the dvd/BR menu. In other words, a deleted scenes tab etc. Ridley also said that he feels like the film "works" as is and that the theatrical cut is essentially the "directors cut". Clearly additional footage is going to be included on the dvd/BR. Thats already been documented. However, we have no information at our disposal that suggests the excised material will actually be cut back into the film. Hope im wrong, but it sounds like we will get some deleted scenes etc. Frankly, it sounds like most of the deleted scenes were wisely cut from the film (cutting the engineer/shaw fight scene was an excellent decision imo). Im unclear as to why some people have just assumed that we will be getting a legit extended cut of the film. Ive heard several interviews with ridley where he has intimated that the 15-20 mins of material that was cut, was cut with good reason and that hes going to have it accessible via the main menu etc. Anyone have legitimate info that implies otherwise?

Yer just read this somewere else hmmm but some people say there will be one well if that was it its a bit scarey :( ...and so it gets bleaker...
