If you call the number a strange message can be heard. Member "Bo Cherry" posted about this yesterday. It reminds me a lot of the the warning signal that the crew of the Nostromo hear in the movie Alien.
A member named "Garcia el Gringo" graciously recorded the newest Weyland industries viral phone message for us. I am posting it here so it can get more attention than on the thread it was originally posted on.

That's a very interesting theory.
I'd never even [u]thought[/u] about NYCC and here I go to their website and who's face pops up but that of Anne Rice. I just heard a rumor [u]yesterday[/u] at a community picnic that she wrote some of the Vampire Chronicles in my house!—though long before I bought it.
Anybody have an e-mail address for her? LOL.
The date of the 11th is a bit off for another theatrical release, unless of course it's all about parties that evening and a midnight showing...
Something to look forward to for the Fall.

Does no one know how to use either an App or a lineout recording to get better quality sound?
They all seem to be loudspeaker recordings at the moment - not the best

Have you called the number? The quality of the "original" recording is distorted on purpose. I did a line out directly from my iPhone to Mac. I am dubious that you'll hear anything better that what you've heard already if you just call the number yourself.

I only refer to outer rim communications because the new Weyland viral testimonies from deep space employees.

*Maybe* someone at Fox marketing knows what it means or is *supposed* to mean, but it's not canonical (or grammatical), and there is no translation (or even vague understanding) of what it means from Dr. Biltoo.

Compare it to the signal in this video, try to start both at the same time when the signal starts in the vid. Start the "space jockey talking" when the signal starts in the video i linked above. woooooow, isnt it the same if you listen closely?
The end of the signal in Alien sounds like the sound after the space jockey talks into the "phone" :o
