Design The Adult Deacon!

Hi everyone, this is my version of an adult Proto-Xenomorph. It's done in photoshop + wacom tablet. I was inspired by primates doing this, since the deacon has a more human resemblance than other xenomorphs, so his long arms force him to walk on all fours mostly. Also, thought bioluminescence was a nice feature since it has not an evolved exoskeleton and veins are more exposed. And to answer your question, you can submit any number of entries you wish, there are no limits! :) Also, sorry for not announcing winners yet, had to deal with some fairly serious matters off site. Great work, DNA, -to be honest, and don't take this wrongly, but I'm not too keen on the physical structure based on the gorilla. It's a human derived structure.

But of course there's no problem, i am happy to hear opinions or critics. They can inspire you and give you other ideas. The idea of a semi-quadruped deacon comes from the fact that this is not a final xenomorph but a "proto" one, a primitive form, so the human dna assumption may be incomplete, in a first stage, a step before an evolved xenomorph. As seen in the movie, it has not a fully developed exoskeleton, the arms are long compared to the legs etc, this give me the idea of something primitive in respect of a "xenomorph sapiens sapiens". Considering also all the possibilities of how a deacon may grow, i was thinking on a more human deacon too.

i have my finished queen to add and i drew a new humanoid sketch of the deacon i would like to add after 3 or 4 replacement sketches when my face stoped bleeding on the paper, broken nose, yay! i will try to put both of the drawings up in less than24 hours.

Hi! Here's my take on the adult Deacon. I've always been intrigued by the translucent alien never done in the first movie, nowdays with CG it can be done and I hope in Prometheus 2 we will see some translucent xenos, glowing like abyss creatures. Hi all, just joined this site to submit :) I want to get way better at drawing, was told to do a lot of tracing but it got me nowhere, thought this was a good opportunity to get some practice in. Im still bad at drawing, but i've only recently been drawing things from my imagination or memory without reference like this one. [img]http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh59/Dessicata/CIMG7370.jpg[/img] [img]http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh59/Dessicata/CIMG7371.jpg[/img] I wanted to keep the smoothish texture of the deacon, and seeing as its a proto-xeno i thought it would be cool if it went into a proto-queen. There are a little nods to the xeno in there, one pair of fingers elongated and fused on each hand, a second pair of arms forming on the chest, the head crest and spines at the back. I also thought it would be cool if the top jaw not only jutted out more, but if the whole skin on the top of the head receeded back even more extremely exposing the fleshy head and canine like snout. If anyones seen the underside of a crab i've tried to add that on the belly of my design, it would fould outward to reveal an egg holding area.
