AdminPraetorianSep-10-2012 10:23 AMI was told you can hear someone eating or noise so it isn't a real DVD rip. In any case Piracy is always frowned upon.

MemberDeaconSep-10-2012 10:36 AMIt may be a early DVD rip so to speak..
But whats the point.....
All it will be is just the movie we seen in the Cinema....
I am getting the Blue-Ray because of the quality of the work that will go into it and the extras and the box art etc.

MemberFacehuggerSep-10-2012 10:41 AMYes but it does make me think what is this ultraviolet download about if its all the blu ray in a neat ready to download package - surely it will be pirated right away :O ! We shall see...I also heard one dvd rip is really good quality video and audio though not HD so far :S ...Anyway I am kinda more interested in 101112 right now and in the future the DC hopefully...

MemberOvomorphSep-10-2012 1:21 PMOr it might be some solid, old school porn disguised as a much anticipated DVD
Ridley Scott will eventually tell us how the Queen was born.
Right now we have the Deacon; coming soon the Mercury, the May and the Taylor.

MemberOvomorphSep-10-2012 2:23 PMI won't wipe my arse with this kind of rubbish (DVD my be a bit on the sharp
side for that anyway) - it's only weeks away from the official release, why bother?
Nothing like a tense moment with the Engineers with popcorn-snaffling and farting for a bonus soundtrack.

MemberOvomorphSep-10-2012 3:53 PMNot surprised, there has been several cam rips on one site for months, poor quality I'm sure. I can wait until the DVD comes out, it will be mine and it will be legal, besides a rip off copy is just that, an illegal ripped off copy......
I should reach the frontier in about 6 weeks. With a little luck, the network will pick me up. This is Ripley, last survivor of the Nostromo....

MemberOvomorphSep-11-2012 9:59 AMI'm usually totally against piracy but I paid a lot of money to see this film 6 times in IMAX3D and X-D 3D, saw it twice at the dollar theatre, made all my friends and family go see it(sometimes more than once), I've bought shirts, posters and pretty much any promo material they've sold, I've pre-ordered the figures and the Blu-Ray box set...
So, if I wanted to I would feel totally comfortable downloading a rip of the dvd. However, after seeing how horrible the switch from IMAX and X D to the crappy dollar theatre was I don't want to waste my time with it. I'll wait for the release as well.
But again, like I said, if there was any time I would feel comfortable doing that it's in this case. I'm all about supporting the films and genres I enjoy as the quality and frequency of such films hitting theatres continues to dwindle. Hell, I even go see films I know are going to be crap in order to support they're genres. But, imo, I've given Fox plenty of $$$ and should be allowed to see the film whenever and however I want.

MemberOvomorphOct-04-2012 6:21 PMfor craps sake, the blu ray is coming out in just a few days *eyeroll*.
id much rather buy the blu ray disk then download a virus. maybe if this leaked out months ago it would be tempting to people, but seems too little too late to be worth risking.
plus i enjoy being excited about something, things are more fun when waited for, reminds me of being a kid.
usually why us por folk like myself enjoy the little things we have waited and worked for then rich people that can get whatever they want whenever they want and are bored with their lives.

MemberOvomorphOct-05-2012 6:05 AMWell I have seen both the terrible camrips and the new DVD rip and it is perfect even allowing menu options and viewing extra material. This is not just another poor copy. This looks exactly like you are watching the commercial DVD. Usually a week after a DVD is released, it shows up in perfect shape like this one. Its unfortunately the world we live in. I am hoping for a full collectors edition including all the material available in the 3D blu-ray edition soon to be released, but if they screw us out of that possibly, thats when people turn to DVD rips. If the y would only release the full collectors edition there would be far less incentive for people to search out torrent rips. I do not support rips but studios should think about equal treatment for paying customers who can't shell out money for a new 3D HD large screen TV and 3D blu-ray system when they already have invested in HD large screen and DVD format costing thousands of dollars! Besides, I just watched Ridley Scott discussing the need for studios to keep viewers coming to the theater and getting off their asses. If everyone invests in 3D large screen systems then they will not leave their couches! Exactly Ridley Scott's point. So to counter customers staying at home in their 3D home theaters and piracy, the studios should show some compassion and marketing intelligence and release the full collectors material in the long 3D blu-ray list to DVD owners! Common sense.

MemberFacehuggerOct-05-2012 7:44 AMHmm yes cams are always a bit naff - well usually. But it does look like pretty damn good quality versions are up and theres the 3D as well etc... I am more interested in the directors commentary on this film - I really wanna know why he did certain things and I am not sure if that up anyway just saying...and no you cant get viruses from videos bella :D ....and always scan downloaded content if your unsure :P ...
