Ok, there are about 5 different threads about the NECA figures and it's kinda hard to decide where to put what info. So, now we have a thread to put any and all NECA Prometheus figure info, pics, etc. I wanted to start this because I just got the most detailed info I've seen on the release dates, characters that will be in each series and what accessories each figure will include. Here's the low down... [b][i]SERIES 1 (September 2012 Release) - Engineer in Pressure Suit - Engineer in Chair Suit TOYS"R"US EXCLUSIVE 2-PACK (November 2012) - Battle Damaged Engineer - Trilobite SERIES 2 (November 2012) - Android David (Space Suit w/ Helmet) - Infected Charlie Holloway (Space Suit w/ Helmet) EXCLUSIVE TBD (2013) - Deacon Creature Pack (to include the "proto-alien", Hammerpedes, and a bonus severed Engineer head with removable helmet) SERIES 3 (2013) - Elizabeth Shaw (with Decapitated David head) - Meredith Vickers - Infected Fifiled [/i][/b] NECA still hasn't said exactly when they will ship but they do update their twitter with shipping info so if I'm the first to hear they've been shipped I'll post it here. If anyone else hears about them shipping please let us know. Here are some pics of what we have to look forward to. BTW... The Deacon's jaws open and close and the extra upper jaw or whatever the hell you want to call it will be retractable. I do kinda want them since I loves me some dust-collectors on the shelf :-D And the Proto Facehugger (I am NOT calling it a trilobite, because it ISN'T one) looks pretty cool now that I can see it full on.....................

while i agree with you on the issue of the name designation (cuddles is nothing like a trilobite. "Trilobite" is probably an early name that was used to describe the creature when its design actually resembled a trilobite), proto facehugger isnt likely to be any more accurate than trilobite. Judging by the nice big egg on the ceiling of the ampule room and the smaller facehuggers depicted in the bas relief, it seems pretty clear that cuddles isnt a proto facehugger. Thanks for the nice repository engineering. Im looking forward to seeing these figures in person. Looks promising thus far.

@patient leech: i noticed that. pretty intense/disturbing....ill be taking my 3 year old up and down an aisle in toys r us that has a toy of "god" getting throat f***ed by a lethal bio-weapon that thrashed its way into the world via induced abortion (my son is obssessed with cruising the star wars aisle which is directly across from the NECA toys). Yikes. LOL.

Just read a street date of September 28th for series 1 in the US. Not sure how reliable it is but I do assume they will come towards the end of the month so it makes sesne. The website that posted the "review" of the figures is reported to get figures early but these figures seem to be taken a while back as they look just like the pics released that first showed the 2 figures next to each other in their packages with a white background. I'm sure most have seen the news Chris posted with the new pics [url=http://www.prometheus-movie.com/news/327]HERE.[/url] Personally, I'm getting more and more worried about the Pressure Suit figure. He doesn't look on par with the 2ups and other prototypes at all imo. Just look at the pics I posted above. Notice the "smoothness" and subtlety of the protos that's completely missing from the production fig?

I don't see where on the NECA site it says such things.. go to www.necaonline.com then click on latest news. it says prometheus figures are now shipping (among others). the little update goes on to say that the prometheus figures will be hitting stores next week. no idea what stores etc. I would check toys r us for sure.

no problem. If you are going to look for the figures in a store (and not online) i would definitely go with toys r us. Im not an expert on NECA figures (dont really do the whole figure thing...im just a bit obsessed with anything engineer), but at first glance, it appears that toys r us has a much more expansive selection than the other toy stores. Your experience with the store employees is probably going to be the norm. Generally speaking, I dont think they know or care to know anything about the stuff they sell. Call and ask them what day of the week their truck delivers new items and then what day of the week they put out the new merchandise. Might save you several fruitless phone calls.

Very good advice. Thank you, sir. Well, I called Toys R Us again and they basically don't know which day stuff will arrive. Sometimes it's Wednesday, sometimes Thursday, sometimes Friday. So mega fail for Toys R Us. I guess I'll just keep calling over there this week. I see many fruitless phone calls in my future..

@Patient...If you have Toys R Us near you then you are set. Their stores never get the same stuff on a certain day. They do have certrain days where they get deliveries like you said your store gets shipments on Wed, Thurs and Fri. The locations around me get theirs on Thurs and Fri. But yeah, the time it takes for NECA figures to get to each location differs. I have about 4 locations close and sometimes the arrival of the same figures to each store differs by as much as a few weeks. To cut this short you're just going to have to keep checking back with Toys R Us. Now that you know the day they get stuff you can cut out calling on every other day. You'll know when they hit Toys R Us. I'll post it as soon as it happens then you can start calling.

any luck finding these bad boys? engineering? (figured you'd be the guy going after these things with the most gusto! hehe) Ill certainly post when i find them on shelves in my area. Weds is the shipment day for my toys r us so i went up there today and asked if they had any new NECA boxes in the back that they had yet to open up/unload. The lady helping me said "let me go check". She proceeded to go to a computer, jumped on toysrus.com, had me spell prometheus 7 times, and finally told me that they didnt have them in. She checked the same toys r us website that we can all check from our home computers. it was a trip. poor thing. she was actually kind though so i gave her a break.

Superherotoys (located in CA) got 10 of each Engineer in today; sold out of the Pressure Suit Engineer in about 2 hours. thanks for the update. good lord they went fast! no sign of anything at the toys r us locations ive been checking (several in metro atlanta area). I assume you got one of the chair suit engineers? what is your opinion of him?

Well, my Engineers shipped (I caved and decided to get the Chair Suit one as well); should be in my hot little hands Monday or Tuesday. According to the people I talked to at Toys R Us and FYE, they should have the Prometheus figures on the shelves next Thursday.

Also, NECA recently updated their Twitter feed to indicate that there are no current plans for anything beyond Series 3, unless the Prometheus line sells really well. For what it's worth, I emailed them a request to make a plush Hammerpede and/or Trilobite while they have the Prometheus license. :D So, if any of you would also like a plush Cuddles...PLEASE feel free to bombard NECA with requests.

I've called Toys R Us all week and they still haven't gotten them. This is frustrating. They shipped out already and Toys R Us told me that they get shipments on Thursday and Friday, so what the hell? I called Spencers, Hot Topic, and FYE. Nothing... mega frustrated.. :( I'm feeling a bit like this right now... @XENO I believe these are retailing for $15.99 (at Toys R Us anyway, which is the price for all other NECA figures). I got mine on eBay for $17.35 each plus shipping.

Thanks "Monk", I've been going to toysrus every week this month and they dont have it here either. I was told they were getting a big shipment yesterday and that it might be in there, but still no. So I might be getting it on ebay too. I've also been looking for a good Prometheus cap and couldnt find one so I had to make my own cap. I found a good Weyland Corp patch on ebay and stitched it onto a cap, now I where it everywhere.

yeah. i broke down and ordered both engineers online as well. No sign of NECA prometheus figures at any of the toys r us locations in my area either. forget em. as far as NECA not having any plans to take the prometheus line any further than series 3... what about shaw!?!? correct me if im wrong, but shaw isnt listed in any of the 3 confirmed series' of prometheus figures is she? Why did they make holloway and not shaw? id like any and all of the monster/parasite/alien figures from the film, but the only two humans id be interested in are shaw and david. odd. maybe they will make her when the sequel comes out? hope you guys get your jockeys soon!

oh good! thanks for letting me know! well, that makes sense now. I cant imagine what else they could really do after series 3. Weyland and a sacrificial engineer would be cool, but beyond that...sounds like they have all of the relevant players taken care of.

Yeah, I totally want a Weyland figure!! Perhaps with a wheelchair accessory? hahah... that would be awesome. What site are you guys ordering the figures from? I would probably go with Amazon, but it says they won't be in stock until November (don't know if that's a mistake or what).

good news! both jockeys came in the mail today. I ordered mine from superhero toys (through amazon). Everything arrived safely and nicely packaged. Both figures look fantastic (there is the issue with the eyes on the pressure suit engineer, but it doesnt detract too much imo). Im very impressed with both. I havent the time to post pics right now, but both figures have been extensively photographed. Bottom line...i would recommend both engineers. I think the pressure suit engineer is my favorite. Excellent detail. and, for the most part, very accurate representation of the characters in the film. +1 NECA.

Man, screw Toys R Us. I probably could have saved $10 if they had let me know when they'd get 'em... I just got mine in the mail today. Pretty sweet! I'm a little surprised at how pale the Pressure Suit Engineer is and how pitch dark the Chair Suit Engineer is.. Hmm... but structurally the Pressure Suit Engineer does look better in person. I like how they're made to scale... haha.. they tower over other characters. It's awesome. Yeah, I'm a little disappointed in the paint job. It should be a lot darker. Like this... Good to know, I'll head over to Toysrus this weekend to get the Chair Suit Engineer. I noticed that too of the colors being off. The Chair Suit should be white-ish, not black-ish grey, but it is amazingly detailed and still worth it. Thanks for the update.

yeah...the colors are a little bit off (dont forget that on-set lighting has a DRAMATIC effect on whats being shot to film. Ridley Scott personally gave the OK on these figures). Having said that, the sculpts are essentially perfect and the paint jobs are above average. IMO, the overall grade on these jockeys is an A (especially when you factor in the $16.00 to $17.00 price tag. very reasonable). Cant wait for series 2 and the TRU 2 pack in November. edit: of note, the amount of black wash on the pressure suit engineers appears to be somewhat variable. I looked through 5 of them at my toys r us and was able to find an appreciable difference in the color grade between the 5. I ended up grabbing one that was noticeably darker than some of the others ive seen.
