I think you mean the movie "In Time". I thought it was pretty good.
The most terrifying fact about the universe is not that it is hostile but that it is indifferent

Yeah, it's "In Time" and I liked it. Very much simular to Logans Run IMO

I thought it was a good movie. No Academy Award but entertaining. The concept of time as a form of currency is quite interesting and the movie makes me think of being mortal and how fragile a person's life can be.

It just set up to be realistic and soon as you do that you gotta be realistic and almost none of it felt like that. It is the hardest type of sci-fi I know but some films do it way better.
Critics didn't like it either (not that I think they are always right or anything):

Now Gattaca and the truman show were much much better (same director on gattaca and wrote truman).

I prefer to make my own mind up, and pay little attention to critics. I mean, look how they reacted to Prometheus. Like ignorant sheep with ingrown skulls in many cases, that's how.
In Time is well worth a look in my opinion. It's vitally different to Logan's Run in that – if you are crafty or rich – you can extend your life indefinitely. And it poses the question who wants to live forever anyway?

Prometheus did quiet well tbh : http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/prometheus_2012/

loved gattaca , but truman show didnt float my boat.
One thing that i got from in time was how the need for time ( and the fear of it running out ) could be used to drive and exploit. To me the movie was a cross between logans run and robin hood.

Have to agree with DJ on this one. Terrible.
Started off great, ended with a bizarre, time-stealing, arm wrestling match featuring the 'Over The Top' special hand move. (Dating myself there)
All of this was far too obviously foreshadowed and i found the movie quite "teeny-boppery" as a whole.
Cool premise- terrible execution.
