Imagine Paradise homeworld - how would you envision it?

What would be the best Paradise home world that you could imagine? We know that it must be very different than we would imagine. How will they surprise us so as to avoid cliches or things we have already seen in other Sci Fi movies. They could be a highly evolved and organized culture but somehow I suspect, perhaps due to the fact that our contact with them so far had involved xenomorphs. Now imagine a Paradise with xenomorphs. There are many possibilities. What do you guys think? I wrote today that I would like to have it go in the direction of Alien - space horror: On Paradise no one can hear you scream! like being submerged in the subconscious of HR Giger......

I believe that the Paradise was beautiful place in the past...but when Shaw and David get there, this place is the truly Giger heaven. Besides the Alien technology could represent some kind of danger to Shaw and David. Maybe even David is a villain and he will become more dangerous and powerful when he puts his hands where he should not, in the fire of the gods. Btw I wonder if we can see the remains of a war between two factions of Engineers.

Ha Shambhala, Dr Shaw's father did say that Paradise is some place beautiful, but I suspect that any race that would engineer or evolve xenomorph life forms would likely come from a world that is darker than the blackest hole within but possibly bright on the outside. Remember all of the mythical or religious iconography connected to the science that was producing xenomorphic death. That could be another possibility, an integrated culture spiritual mixed with bio-weapons and genetic research. If we put all the known pieces of the puzzle together regarding their culture, it would include the noble idea of sacrafice, creation advanced bio-science and other forms of advanced technology and then you get into the darker aspects of their culture - the destructive aspects. Beautiful art and murals combined with Gigeresque biomechanically infuenced architecture. Possible Egypian like or greek like buildings and pyramids. Maybe huge Sphynx-like statuesque structures. I am guessing that they would retain ancient cultural aspects that we have long changed. For some reason I get the feeling that they would retain some of this appearance. But I am just using my imagination here. I am attempting to extrapolate using a limited number of puzzle pieces. It leaves much to the imagination.

Yeah, probably is a fascinating and picturesque world...but creepy at the same time. I actually wonder how it could be their architecture, because for now we only have pyramids. But maybe it's just a mass of asteroids, where there was once a planet, and a huge and terrifying mother ship is waiting in the darkness of space (yeah, I know...too much STAR WARS-ID4 :D)

I think that some of the original unused concepts of Prometheus could have some potential but also some fan arts and of course the original Giger art

in my mind its a cross between olympus, ginormous pale marble temple like halls with the mesopotamium and gigeresque features too, and most importantly beautiful blue skies! there is a poster of the juggernaut coming down out of a beautiful powder blue sky somewhere that makes me think of september 11 my point being that it was a beautiful day which gave the unexpected horror such contrast. maybe pardise should look like paradise but the horror should be what is happening or has happened there

perfect way to imagine it is having a paradise at face value but the world inside is actually a hell hole itself BTW!!!! i just developed an exciting thought! what if paradise was lv 426? i realize that the tmeline might be a factor to completely destroy this theory and a few other factors as well, but i can imagine it being battle torn and stuff but after david and shaw are done, it is what we see in alien and aliens. hmmmmmmmmmm?

yes possibly but its a bit close to the bioweapons installation of lv233 though? considering the distances they can cover at least a different solar system would be advisable i mean we get chunks of mars landing now and then you wouldnt want to risk that from world'o'goo now would you plus theyd be close enough to be aware of the outbreak wouldnt they

These engineers don't look like they spend alot of time in the sun with their alabaster skin and coal black eyes. Perhaps their world is beautiful but maybe they live in underground complexes as on lv223. So maybe everything is beautiful on the surface, but its giger or lovecraft wonderland down below. Maybe it's a little too hg wells, but perhaps there is a peaceful society living above ground and the nasty ones we saw on lv223 below.

That actually makes a lot more sense. I would go along with this description malex345.

Thanks Nostromo, but there are so many possible paradise scenarios that I will be surprised if my suggestion proves valid. However, if the engineers are dark angels then are there angels of light, and where do they live? Perhaps we will literally go to heaven and hell before this series ends. Dante or milton or maybe a little greek mythology thrown in for good measure no doubt.

@malex234, I agree, maybe is a literal paradise, who knows, or is a beautiful place but with scars of war...but indeed the paradise like hell would be the most obvious scenario...anyway, only time will tell us.

"and most importantly beautiful blue skies! there is a poster of the juggernaut coming down out of a beautiful powder blue sky somewhere that makes me think of september 11 my point being that it was a beautiful day which gave the unexpected horror such contrast." just wanted to revisit my earlier post because i finally found the poster that illustrates my point [img][/img]
