MemberChestbursterApril 02, 2013I have obviously spent a lot of time on this site for a couple of years or so by now and enjoy it very much. Everyday I am here checking it for even 1 new comment on any subject and then engage in conversation with people that I have never met in person but feel like I know them very well. This site has opened the scifi door for me. I had recently bought all the alien and predator movies and was getting into them then came across this and Prometheus.
Pleasantries aside now, I saw Claudius's post about Paradise being cancelled and even though I wasn't alarmed about it, but it made me think. What will we do when the movies are no more? I know we will continue being fans and the forum will have discussions and we will all be as friendly as possible, but how long could we go. Like right now, we are going on, like, half a year after Prometheus and are still going strong but, I get nervous lol. Imagine after a (hypothetical) third movie, about a year to a year and a half after it's release and all the time afterwards, do you think we will still be coming up with new ideas and enjoying ourselves and the movies the way we are currently.
At this second I realize that I think the going will be good pretty far into the future, but I just wondered what you all think. Also, I realize their will plenty of other movies, shows, books, and games, to go scified.com for and appreciate that greatly, but I wonder about the future of this specifically since it so much of my teenage life haha. :)
