Xenomorph to make an appearance in Prometheus 2?

I never liked the notion that the xeno the morb or whatever we call it is nothing more than a biological weapon. I much prefer to think of it as something extremely ancient and best left alone. Perhaps the engineers' folly was thinking that they could control this primal force of nature and somehow adapt it to their purposes. We saw how well this worked out for the company in the alien series. Maybe humans were just repeating the mistakes of their makers. I think we will see some version of the xeno but it will be different from the one we're used to.

I agree with that idea its unique and makes the Engineers more like us instead of us like them kind of thing.

A docile, friendly xenomorph could be on Paradise. This is a side to them we'd never expect, and in the mural, an engineer was putting his hand on a creature's head like it was a pet or mount.

Well Lindeloff had said that Prometheus gave us the answers to the Xeno and the clues are there regarding most of the Questions we have left. Lindeloff and Ridley did say the clues are there and answers, the only things Prometheus never answered was what will be found on Paradise and who created the Engineers. They seem to think everything else is in Prometheus but you need search for the clues...... And i think by that it is no mistake about every little thing they have added, especially the dialect...... A think this implies answers are in how Shaw talked about how the Sun was all alone, and how Holloway implied is that God to the head statue... and little things like that..... But then nothing was set in stone as far as explanations it was all subtle and ambiguous. I am sure Fox will want them to give us more clear answers, and also YES! If they think the movie would sell more and please more if it contained Xenos or similar then i do think Ridley may have to adapt a script that includes Organisms related to the Xeno that look more Xeno-esque than anything seen in Prometheus.

But for me i dont think we should be hand fed, a Xeno..... If we do take what Lindeloff said, and that Prometheus has the answers then yes there are a lot of clues....... such as the Frescos... I hope we get a more clearer showing of there connection, either as a flash back scene or indeed via more art work and statues/murals that David can interpret and give explanations. A bit like say if in Prometheus they had a scene that showed the one fresco... Now i am not saying this should have been in the movie, just that a comment by David like that on a Mural would give us more indication that perhaps this shows us The Engineers touching a Strange Creation, much like the God and Adam Fresco. In Paradise similar frescos, with comments from Shaw and David, on Statues and Frescos that have a more Xeno look would provide more clear answers. Prometheus maybe hints that the creature which looks kind of Xeno-Esque and maybe similar to some unused Fifield Concepts and indeed the Shaws Baby from Spaights draft... Is a sign that the Engineers either created this creature of this creature came from them.

I love that approach Dave and I think that's most likely what they'll do. I would like to see some magnificent xenomorph sculptures, more frescos, art, etc and Giger seems to be more in the business of sculpturing these days so I certainly hope Ridley is able to schedule more time with him this time. The deacon is an interesting creature in itself and they could explore that with some fresh ideas.

Well through the Franchise we got a number of different clues to the Xeno Origins.... O'Banons Alien Draft had the Space Jockeys as a Race who worshiped some Organism and they made Sacrifices to it in a Temple. His earlier Draft (Star Beast) had these Space Jockeys come across this Ancient Temple and while transporting its Leathery Urns to its ship they got infected and wiped out.... Latter the Humans came across that ships SOS the dead Space Jockeys and then found the Temple and well one gets Face Hugged by a Octopus creature. Then latter draft by Walter Hill of Alien, had the Xeno as a experiment by Weyland and they set it on LV 426 as a trap, Ash new about this and his mission was to get the crew infected and bring back a specimen. The Final Draft merged bits of that draft with O'Banons Alien one, to get what we had as the final movie, well the Book touched more upon the Final Draft.. The movie changed things a bit.. And the movie left is not knowing what, how or where the Space Jockey or Xeno came from.... These Drafts thus leave us with...... 1) Space Jockey found a abandoned Ancient Temple containing the Alien creature Urns/Eggs and got infected while trying to obtain a specimen to study. Essentially pointing to them not having nothing to do with the Xeno and just its first victim before the crew of the Nostramo.. 2) The Space Jockeys found this Organism and Worshiped it and offered Sacrifices to it (maybe to see what different lifeforms turn out like once infected by the Organism). But it appears the Space Jockeys on LV 426 got infected themselves. This shows while they never created the Xeno, they offered sacrifices as worship and also as means to figure what the Organism does with different Hosts. 3) The Company (Weyland) had a hand in creating or obtaining the Organism and left LV 426 as a trap and place to send the Nostramo to get a sample... this one dont add up... 4) As Alien was shown, we are left with a Space Jockey on his Ship carrying a Cargo of Eggs for which we have no idea what purpose. This Mystrey was latter added to by comments from Ridley and others that the Space Jockey was transporting the Deadly Cargo when one got lose and infected the Pilot who then laid a course to the nearest Baron Moon to Quarantine the Organism and set off a SOS.... This thus left us with Prometheus to answer who these Space Jockeys are/were and what connection to the Xeno. And Prometheus leads us to that they either.. 1) Created the Xeno from Scratch with some purpose in mind. 2) Created the Xerno either on purpose or accidental from the Black Goo. 3) That the Xeno or similar creature is what the Goo was created from, and maybe do they need the Xeno/Goo to create life and procreate? It shows they hold the Organism or its Original Predecessor in high regard and maybe Worshiped it, held Sacrifices to it and/or even experimented with it. Hopefully Paradise will give us some clues but not spoon feed us, or even be a Spaights Draft/Aliens + Prometheus movie.. OPPS... Sorry for going off Topic! Maybe a Little... or did i?

Well said Dave, I agree, there are plenty of clues in Pro that are hard to see in many circumstances, but they really need to bring it all together succinctly for the sake of the fans' sanity haha. I'm sure they will.

Well i dont want to see Xeno running around..... i dont mind if we see Murals and such of them or Organism like them, or if David gets up to no good and creates a new Xeno-Esque Horror thats unleashed on the Engineers or whats left on Paradise. I do think Ridley will show us the connection and what went down on LV 426 by the end of the Franchise.... Main reason being is Ridley lost all control and input into how the Xeno developed from Alien to well AVP movies.... Ridley would not go out to rubbish the Xeno in Aliens and onward or the Queen, in fact he said it made sense... But the main questions from Alien was and still are... 1) Why did the Engineer/Space Jockey, carry that Cargo and where did it come from.... (Was they Eggs, or something that Evolved into Eggs or even laid them). 2) Where did the Xeno come from, was it from the Eggs, the Goo or something else. 3) What was the connection, how did the Engineers come to be in contact with the Eggs or what ever the Eggs Evolved from. 4) Although Ridlley has hinted at and said what happened on LV 426 we have not seen it shown in the Movie Franchise or clues. Now Ridley can control and Answer those things, Alien was one of if not his best movie a Legacy, all that happened after he, Giger and O'Banon etc can take some credit for. We dont know the Orgins of the Xeno, its connection to the Engineers, and LV 426 Derelict and we only scratched the surface of the Engineers. Ridley has a chance to explain the Xeno and its connection and LV 426 in a way that Ridley wants.... He may want to keep it a secret and leave it ambiguous a unanswered question... But he knows the risk that in doing so, will leave the door open for FOX to get someone to in future be that 10, 15 or 25 years to finally answer the Xeno Origins... Once Ridley has long gone, there is no stopping someone being Employed by Fox who could even then show the Xeno was created by the Predators but stolen by the Engineers and experimented on to create the Goo which back fired on the Engineer Race. If this is something Ridley would never want, then at his age if he does not answer those questions his way, and leaves it open... someone could make the Answers on the Big Screen in a way that would make Ridley Turn in his Grave... Ridley is getting on.... while he may have 10, 20 years left in him, surely he will be too old to have any real creative input or control over the Xeno Origins when he is in his 80s.. Thus while maybe not being Spoon Fed, or indeed while not giving every detail.... I think Ridley will to a degree show the Xeno Origins, the event that led to crashed Derelict and the connection between the Engineers and Xeno.... Just as Ridley has not covered the Space Jockey on LV 426 but what he has shown in Prometheus has not all but Confirmed that the Space Jockey is indeed a Large Engineer in a Space Suit. I am sure he will cover the Xeno connection and Origins in a way that limits anyone else hijacking the creation in future.

I don't think so. The xeno's origin has been [i]implied[/i] in Prometheus. That's more than enough and Scott says the sequel will be more of its own thing.

I agree Ridley may not want to go that route, but all i was saying is lets say we dont get the Answers.... Fanboys want the Answers after Prometheus Trilogy is finished etc, we could wait years and Rildey not touch up on it and then come a day when he is too old or passes away.... If Fox see there is money to be made by doing another movie to show how the Xeno came to be and then also another Alien Xeno Movie only one that predates Alien and Prometheus timelines, then we cant rule out Fox doing so and doing so in a way that would not settle well with Ridleys ideas. Thats why i think he would have to a degree show us more clues while not spoon feed us...

Hmmm. I think we did see a Xenomorph in Prometheus 1. In my mind the Deacon is a Xeno. Just a different variety due to its unusual method of creation. I think that the type and shape of a Xeno changes depending on environment, purity and or generation.

I do think we will see clues to the Xeno, maybe Murals etc for sure. But i also do think that by the end of the franchise we will see the Traditional Xeno or at very least Egg/Face Huger at some point before the Franchise is done.... Be that Paradise or Part 3 etc... This may just be a flash back scene, it could be a scene where David reads stuff and informs Shaw, or a Engineer etc and as they are describing it, we are given a flash back.... Do i think by the time the Prometheus Series is finished we will actually see a Live Traditional Xeno, even if its in Flash Back Scene... like the Sacrificial Scene in Prometheus then my answer is.. YES i think we would.... but i dont expect much air time of it just short and sweet...
