Ancient Engineer Gods on Paradise in Prometheus 2?

Don't feel bad Annunaki. I've stepped on so many people's toes on this site because of this film, so I don't feel at all like lecturing someone. And it sucks that that the people you know don't like talking about Prometheus. same here... Btw Fleshvessel, I hope you and I are cool and that there's no hard feelings between us. you're right when you say it's classy when someone admits that they were out of line.

@Gimmeafacehug- Of course. You guys are my home away from home. (And sometimes on the toilet.) :) As for Chris' ideas- i agree, what a beautiful resemblance with the Queen in Aliens. Would be a nice nod to see something similar in the film. Also, some depictions (or live-action, of course) of Xeno vs Engineer massive scale outbreak would be just fine with me. I also agree with Anu, in that a certain style and influence was set in the first film (Pyramids, Sumerian influence, statues, etc.) and i would like to see a Paradise that is in keeping with this. I know this may be a silly question, but do you think David and Shaw have a 'full payload' on their Juggernaut as well? Is the possibility of them infecting Paradise a realistic one?

I going to try to post a decent reply: the way I see it: The xenomorphs are gods because: * they are the perfect natural killing machine, they have acid for blood, razorsharp teeth and claws, a deadly tail etc. *They are blindingly fast and deadly from the get-go. *It only takes hours for them to fully mature. Why the engineers are gods: *They have all this technology. *They are physically strong as well. *they have conquered and seeded/ terraformed worlds. What I want to see in Prometheus 2: I want to see a ‘theme’ of nature vs mankind. Like, the engineers discovered the xenomorph species (eggs) somewhere in space, they tried to make a bio-weapon out of it but it turned on them, infesting their home planet…Then we show up and we are baffled by the destruction of this once great civilization and we get to battle a few remnants of the xenomorph/engineer hybrids and maybe we even get to meet a friendly engineer…maybe. Anyways, I still wanted to see the elephant getting facehugged and what came out of it but oh well… Lesson learned: don’t screw with nature because it will always bite you in the *ss! And Fleshvessel: bringing the infestation to them is even better. There goes another species.  Again, this all contributes to the ‘we humans-are-ruining-the-planet-and-even-the-universe-thingy’-theme. And there are definitely more engineers with different clothing and a higher social status...like a medicine-man.

Let your imagination run riot Chris, this site was your creation, so feel free!! :-) Yeah, I too would love to see Paradise overrun & reduced to a wasteland of monuments etc. How cool would it be to have some engy v morb battle scenes though, maybe even in flashback? I've always thought there is the possibility that David could cause the extinction of the homeworld, whether by accident or design. He's always had his own agenda & most definitely will be a lynchpin of sorts. ps glad everyone is on speaking terms again, you guys rock!

I can be too touchy and sensetive at times, and I've been guilty of disrespecting peoples comments in the past, which I regret! So please don't feel bad Anunnaki. I apologise also! I consider everone on this site a friend of sorts! We all share a common interest with one another, Alien and Prometheus. So lets all get back to being friends and discussing our favourite topic!...

@Anunnaki, Attacks the views of people, not the people itself, because that way you are demonstrating a lack of arguments, nothing more. The passion is not generated because you love this theory, is generated because you can not defend your position and then you get angry. I said it before and I'll say it again; less passion and more arguments. In fact I never lose control of my emotions because it's best to remain calm. I don't feel offended btw, don't worry, I'm just expressing my disagreement with your thoughts, that's all.

Chris, All I can say about this artwork is gimme more! This is exactly what I am hoping to see in P2! Also, good to see you all respectful of differing opinions, as that is a true sign of intelligent life forms. It is also why I enjoy the discussion of some very creative ideas & interpretations on this site. It is in the spirit of this site to explore all ideas with respect to the person posting. Cheers!

It would just be Shaw and David's head observing and scrutinizing a bunch of statues. One thing is for certain, Ridley and Fox will definitely not create a film that just appeals to the hardcore fans of the Alien/Prometheus universe, it will be something that appeals to the masses, unfortunately! @Shambhala. There is nothing wrong with a bit of passion, you can be passionate about something without being disrespectful. For example, when i'm having a pint with my dad at the pub, and we get talking to a few lads at the bar, I have to tell him to calm down because he gets so worked up when someone disagrees with him about a subject he is passionate about (Football and Manchester United.) He's WAY TOO passionate about it! And then he has a go at me for telling him to calm down hahah. But then I just tell him that if he carries on i'll knock him out. So he stops. We are currently not on speaking terms, which is very common with us! So what i'm trying to say is, that you can be passionate about something, disagree with somebody, but still be respectful. Unless you're a politician

@Necronom 4, One thing is the love that someone feels for Prometheus, and another is when you hold a position based on a theory, because then I can come here to refute that, but what you should not do is exploit. That just shows that you can not defend your premise with arguments and you prefer to make a tantrum, or say expletives rather than refute what the person is saying. But please, let's not mix apples and oranges, because sometimes the passion (not in all cases of course) is nothing more than an excuse to be an idiot. I've been listening to the same speech over and over again, is almost cartoonish, and If you do not agree with an opinion, then you argue, But let's put aside childish things, because I assume that most of us are adults.

Yes but where do you draw the line between an attack on the opinion, or an attack on the person who's posting the opinion? After all, your opinion is a part of you, It is not just your opinion, it is what you believe. I'm passionate about ALIEN and if anybody says anything negative about it, I feel defensive! But I have learnt to stop for a moment and calm down. You have to! We are on a site where, if you get TOO passionate, to the point where it turns personal, you are likely to get banned from the site. You have to follow the rules or face the consequences. I like coming to this site, so I try to obide by the rules. It's all about self control. Everyone on the planet can only be pushed so far before they snap! We are human. We are Imperfect! We make mistakes! That's what P2 should be about.

Right I know now. What i'm trying to say is. I'll give you an example: My dear old dad (sarcasm) thinks that, if you can't see eye to eye with somebody then you are destined to never get along. I disagree! It all depends on what kind of person you are! If you're a very serious person, who is opinionated, you will make enemies of those who disagree with your opinion. On the other hand, if you're someone that realises that everyone is different and the world would be a dull place if everyone was the same and had the same opinions, you are bound to be more tolerant of somebody who disagrees with you. A negative remark from a person whome you don't know, is a personal attack. You have to KNOW somebody before you can judge whether or not it is just a bit of banter or an attack. My dear old dad views everything as an attack and there are a lot of people like him in the world. He also doesn't have a sense of humour which is also a problem! Reminds me of that line in Prometheus "Doesn't everyone want their parents...... But that's another story Haha

I think we should see lots of ruins, maybe some Gigerish and we see some more of the cullture of the Engineers. But i dont want the place to be over run with Xenos or Engineers.... Maybe there are very little left of the Engineers, maybe they befell due to the Xeno and they explain this to Shaw and David. I do think the Engineers or Elders or what ever would teach them a lot but then they would have a sinister plot for Shaw.... But David then unleashes hell on them and its from this we see a outbreak of something related to the Xeno but not a traditional one. Just enough clues to allow us to connect the dots...

Hi BigDave, great to see you! I agree that it would be great to see a Gigerish environment in P2. However, we all expect it to go a certain way, ie 'Shaw and Davids head arriving on the engineers homeworld.... Personally, I would like to see it deviate away from what we expect. I'm not entirely sure that I would like to see Shaw and David land on Heaven/Hell in a juggernaut and come across some friendly engineers, it would be too much like Avatar for my liking. I'd even go as far as not showing where or what happened to Shaw and David atall. Leave it a mistery. Did they make it to Paradise? If so, What did they find? Imo, the film should focus on another group, going to a distant, already colonized Weyland Yutani planet, where they discover ruins of an ancient engineer civilization.

I don t want to die and do not see PARADISE,PLEASE FOX. RELEASE PARADISE MORE QUICK.

@Necronom 4 Well i think it would be great idea but then your idea could be implemented just as the Sacrificial Scene.... By that i think the idea is for David to take Shaw to the Engineers Home World but he would have his own Agenda... We could see Shaw arrive and see a place in semi ruin, and see great monuments or partial ones, see more Murals and Fresco's... We dont have to have Engineers meet them and go through a explanation of their History, could do but maybe most of it could be shown as David interprets and reads some Manuscripts and Tablets found on Paradise, like the Sumerian ones, and as David goes on to explain to Shaw what he reads... We cut to various cut scenes showing us, just as the Sacrificial Engineer scene was, where it can be used to show us the Engineer Culture and History maybe show us what Paradise was once like, maybe show us Engineers visiting worlds they seeded and teaching them things. This would be the best way to show us the Engineers.... But also dont forget all bets are off once Shaw has to be put into Cryo Sleep, as we have to assume thats the only way she can make it, and only David would know how long the journey would take and he could tell Shaw anything he wants so that she has to face the fact she has to get into the Cryo Pods or face a slow death of starvation etc... But no soon as she has, well David can do what he wants, go where he wants and do what he wants with Shaw also.... Maybe he may check out LV 426.... maybe he could get Shaw Face Hugged, with a Queen Chest Buster? Then pop her back into Cryo Sleep and she could be none the wiser just as Ripley was in Alien 3.... and i say Queen because well it appears they take longer to gestate inside than the Drones do, again see Alien 3. This could give a whole new meaning to the kind of hell that Ridley was on about.... In fact these things i am on about are all part of my draft i worked on its bits but never put together, i pondered David takes her to LV 426 and gets a specimen to face hug Shaw and then take her to Paradise, where i envisioned the Engineers detected something inside of her and Shaw the Xeno... and it reminded them of the Deacon they tried to create and they cut it out of Shaw.... Finally they have their Deacon so they thought..... and well the Queen is then released by David from a Stasis chamber and it unleash hell on the remainder of the Engineers.... I was going to maybe go further to suggest maybe David had set off the SOS on the Derelict... or at very least he caused a containment breach to allow the Eggs to become accessible.... kind of like he forgot to close the door after he got a Face Huger for Shaw... a door which Kane unfortunately was able to walk into.... But the Prometheus Viral site hinted that Weyland Industries was aware of a signal from LV 426, but that does not mean David could have gone there after and left the door open..... I would had a lot of other ideas like have the end of the movie lead to a part 3 where we would find out more about Weyland Yutani Merger and the end of Part 3 would see a board room meeting were they give Ash his orders as he prepares for his mission to LV 426 on the Nostramo.

I'd like to see a version of @Necronom 4 of this hypothetical god
