MemberTrilobiteJanuary 19, 2017You know something Covenant related will drop on April 1st to drive us crazy. What do you predict? (Maybe we can revisit this thread in April to see if anyone was on the mark).
Lol that's great Tiago.

If it is 2 months early, then we cannot regard it as a proper April Fool's joke as far as I can see.
I still think we should have fun with it. You never know. There are some pretty sly members around.
I'm gonna try harder on the next one:)

I went through the entire thread and there is some funny stuff here! I hope some newer members can contribute.
I just learned that James Cameron has been directing Alien: Covenant the whole time!
April fools day!
Obsession is a Power, not a Curse ;)
FOX Studios Release: To the fans of the Alien Movie Series who are eagerly anticipating the arrival of Alien: Covenant, we regret to to inform you that Alien Covenant has been temporarily cancelled due to our production team hopelessly losing track of what script we are currently on.
We have desperately tried to reassemble a coherent story by mixing and matching scripts ideas from writers on the SCIFIED forum, splicing old Alien material, and pulling stuff out the ol' rectal database. Heck, we have even resorted to clicking our the heels of our ruby slippers together.
To our disappointment, and we are sure, to our fans' as well the it, the film as it currently sits is getting viewer reactions akin to "Battlefield Earth". It goes without saying that level of movie quality should never be released.
We ask the patience of all the fans of the Alien series. We also ask for some decent ideas (Please, no Alien vs. Guardians of the Galaxy storylines...) Once we have finished scouring all the AC forums, we should be back on the right track.
Hopefully, if all goes well we should get this film released before the end of of 2018, give a take a year or so. In the meantime, we at FOX Studios are offering a free Directors Cut version of Alien vs. Predator: Requiem, to all our fans as a token of our appreciation to you.
We understand and anticipate some backlash and angst from the fans, but we expect you will get over it and see the movie when it comes out.
Thank you.
Another bump.Unleash your funny side guys

Bumped because someone requested that BigDave weigh in on this. BD, could it be a misleading trailer or an honest one that we dismiss based on the date? Go for it!

BigDave inspired this one and gave encouragement to do it. Hopefully his intentions are interpreted somewhat well here:
"After the completion of the long awaited Alien Covenant, FOX decided that the movie would be more successful by reaching out to a broader audience and has brought in writer Peter Briggs of AVP fame to add a new dimension to the story. This will increase the movie length and require AC to be presented in two parts. Integrating the new writing with the current material will push the release to a 2018 release for AC part 1. FOX apologizes to fans but assures them the wait will be worth while. FOX also speculated fresh and robust debates on David 8's role with the Predator species on The Alien Covenant forum for the next year."
