MemberTrilobiteJan-30-2017 3:23 PMIf you were in a bad situation and an android told you "Trust me, I will help you", which from the franchise (movies) would you trust?
I would pick Call.
How about you?

MemberNeomorphJan-31-2017 12:39 AMdk ur right he wasn't, im thinking bishop in alien3. I wouldn't say not trusting androids would mean death by op but I trust humans that have earned my trust. I just think its our natural fear of the unknown when it comes to the androids in alien. in AR, the world is 'what a sh**hole' according to mr Pearlman so something has happened and maybe the androids had a hand in that much like david seems to be the one who brings destruction the paradise

MemberXenomorphJan-31-2017 12:45 AMWell Dallas and Christie both said they don't trust anybody and they both died - so I guess it follows.

Good points. I don't think anyone has said anyone else is wrong. This is supposed to be fun- but we fan boys and girls seem to thrive on oneupsmanship at times.
Picture this: You are in a room like in AVP with walls turning and such looking for a way out. You see 4 equal opportunities for escape. Those 4 escapes are Ash, Bishop, Call and David. Each extends a hand and tries to convince you only they can save you and the other 3 are lying.

MemberNeomorphJan-31-2017 12:57 AMok, uv put the gun to my head dk haha, bishop for me but having seen the films, my second choice would be david just out of pure curiosity to see what hes been upto haha

MemberNeomorphJan-31-2017 2:37 AMwell he has 'seen things we people wouldn't believe'. honestly, greatest dying scene ever. would have loved to have seen roy in an alien movie

MemberNeomorphJan-31-2017 2:45 AMRutger was brilliant. credit to that scene has to go to him as he was the one who changed the original lines. his roy would cause so much havoc in the alien world the human species would be on the endangered list

MemberOvomorphJan-31-2017 2:50 AMNice trivia, didn't realize that. Ha, I agree. dk, I hope Bladerunner is in the alien universe! Tyrell Corporation Weyland-Yutani.

MemberFacehuggerJan-31-2017 4:24 AMBishop without a doubt. He's the only one we know has behavioral inhibitors that don't allow him to harm, or by omission of action allow to be harmed, a human being.
Safe? Of course he isn't safe, but he's good!

MemberDeaconJan-31-2017 5:06 AMInteresting Topic...
And yes depends if we read the OP!
I am going to ignore this one for this first reply.
In General... you would say Bishop, as previous models had problems.... Bishop has programing that would not allow him to harm anyone... But the KEY THING here is Programing.
A Bishop model could be Programed in a certain way to perform the Goal and Agenda of someone else... and so depends on the Programing and so a Programed Straight Up Robot would depend on the Programing Orders that are a Priority to them.
So if their Programing/Mission would be to the detriment of you in a situation... they could Fool you that you can trust them... but ultimately they could have "COMPANY" hidden Agenda like Agent 937 and it would be interesting so see if there is any hidden Programing in Walter.
One the other Hand... a David 8 from Prometheus has become Sentient, which means maybe he can be Good or Bad and have Good or Bad intentions depending on his Agenda and Feelings... as opposed to set Programing.
So there is a Potential that David could be trusted the Most, and maybe its down to how he is treated.... David did not seem to treat Shaw to bad... he was following Orders to a degree (Try Harder) and Holloway treated him really badly and then said he would do anything and everything to get his answers..
Shaw just happened to be on the receiving end as a result... i am not sure David at this point knew that infecting Holloway would lead to Shaw Pregnancy.
And so i think these points i made are Valid as far as AC... the Trailer with the Nature Boy could tie in.... we dont know if Walter has a hidden Programing ... and if David feels loved, maybe he can change his mind and redeem his actions?

MemberNeomorphJan-31-2017 10:34 PMagreed bigdave. david, I believe, was conflicted a little in the scene with Holloway that's why he asked him what lengths he would go to. holloways' answer basically gave david self vindication for his actions, as Holloway is saying 'do it, id do it to u'. I don't think he ever means shaw any harm. I think he has a level of respect for her and curiosity about her beliefs from watching her dreams, he may feel like she can be a form of mentor to him. whether he has done away with her prior to AC or not I think is 50/50. I def see david trying, at the very least, to make up for his actions, maybe not in AC but in the sequel. this is part of what leads me to think shaw is still alive as she may act as his conscience

MemberDeaconFeb-01-2017 6:18 AMI think David has developed more Human Emotions and is closer to us than we think.... this matches Fassbenders comments.
And the Nature Boy song could fit in too, and so maybe if David is made to feel important, respected and wanted and loved then he would act very well in return.... but he feels used by Mankind and not respected...
And so like a Human, the key to his behavior can be influenced by how he feels he is treated by others.

MemberNeomorphFeb-01-2017 10:55 PMwhether david 'feels' emotions or not is very interesting. he may just be reacting to what h perceives as negative interation with humans. he may not feel at all but he has been programmed to imitate human behaviour, so although he doesn't actually feel offended, he knows when he is being offended and acts 'like a human' in response. the scene where hes quizzed by Holloway on 'why the suit?' shows how far his programming will go to imitate us. he could have just infected Holloway without the interaction, but to me, he is reacting to holloways comments. the fact Holloway admits hed do anything to get his answers tells david that his intention to infect Holloway is the 'human' thing to do. some form of vindication for david. though, the fact its Holloway he intends to infect may add weight to the theory he does in fact feel emotions as he could have infected anyone but Holloway hasn't exactly been nice to him so shows us maybe david has taken great offence to how Holloway has treated him and has singled him out as revenge

MemberNeomorphFeb-05-2017 2:26 AMProbably Bishop (from Aliens), since he was an updated version that couldn’t hurt a human (behavioral inhibitors). There is no chance that I would trust Ash since he is the one that is the closest to a psychopath among the droids that we have seen this far among the Alien movies.
