Alien: Earth and Alien: Romulus sequel news

For this franchise, are you for or against a time travel element?

Time travel is interesting for some scifi but for a franchise this far into it, regardless of being prequels, I think it would be kind of weak to shoe horn a narrative just to make the story work. What do you think?

I'm totally against it, and honestly don't think RS is going that way either.

I leave time travel up to a madman with a blue police box.

the ALIENverse has absolutely zero room for time-travel, it just doesn't 'fit' the feel of it, and would probably do some serious damage to the franchise.

Also, for myself, aside from Dr. Who, I am really sick and tired of writers thinking they're being oh-so-clever and dragging time-travel into things. It's been over-used to the point where it's now Cliche`, aside from DW, as that franchise treats Temporal Travel with respect and it gets pretty disturbingly Dark on occasion.

Regarding Sir Ridley Scott, I trust him not to engage in such a foolish travesty against this franchise or it's fanbase.

Against AGAINST...we have enough deep things to ponder over in this film universe without them introducing time travel and more than likely messing it up and creating countless plot holes because of it

Time travel can make for some brilliant stories - but you need to establish it early on.  Star Trek, BTTF, Terminator - all fine.  At this point six (or eight) films into a series, depending on how it's used,  it'd end up looking like a lazy cop out.

im guessing this is to the theories on how their going to do alien5. I hate the time travel idea in alien franchise. in franchises like terminator it worked fine because it was part of the main plot and it was shown right at the very start. I don't think alien5 needs to show time travel or even a dream scenario either, Im fine with just being given a straight out alternative sequel to aliens, which I think from what iv read, is how they r going to do it. Blomkamp has said 'if u like alien3 and not his film then u can take alien3 as the sequel and vice versa'.
