Decoy Alien: Covenant screenings, false leaks

AdminEngineerMarch 15, 20178957 Views28 RepliesIt would appear that Fox have purposely cut specific sequences for Covenant to throw us off, according to internal ramblings. Of course there is no way to substantiate this claim at this moment, but it is worth noting that too much of what we've discovered, visited with what we've been told, versus what the physical evidence provided to us supports the idea that Fox may have screened false sequences of Alien: Covenant. These of course leaked, as expected. But interestingly enough, certain "leaks" remain online while others, they have been quick to track down and keep offline. Not to mention various sources close to the project have alluded to the fact that not everything may be as it seems.
Fox are aware of the fan base its connecting with and after Prometheus they know what we're capable of, in terms of digging, theorizing, piecing the plot together. I don't think think it's totally ridiculous to assume Fox have led us astray on purpose to preserve Alien: Covenant's most sensitive secrets.
Reason I'm mentioning this now is because around the end of this month Fox will apparently be screening more accurate versions of Covenant to closed groups. It is following these screenings that legitimate leaks may occur and so, we will need to be aware of then.
But for the sake of conversation, do you think Fox have planted false footage within their previous Covenant screenings to keep us off their scent? Curious to see what you guys think.
