Female Engineers?

Wasn't there one with a red robe as well? Can we analyze the Engineer scene? 

Ohhhh a red robe?!?! I didn't catch that one. Def saw the white robed one. Where was it in the scene? I really hope the concept of the engineers is not completely abandoned. It adds such an epic quality to the mythos. In my mind, this has to be a settlement of hippies, a commune like community. Maybe a group of devotees or worker class beings. So many questions!!! So glad this scene was not taken out of the film. It was my favorite scene.

Is possible that engineers from Prometheus are not the same race like this one in Covenant?

I can tell you that there ARE actually female engineers in the movie.

When David arrived with the Engineer's Ship, first of all the engineers on the planet all look up and start smiling.
There you can clearly see a female engineer smiling brightly, as seconds later they start running, because the "elder" starts to scream that they are going to be attacked.
In this particular scene you can see lot's of females and children-like engineers.

The engineer from Prometheus was a genetically modified engineer, a soldier, with a biomolecular body armor which was attached to his body. Se he looks definately different from the natural engineers.

Body yes because of the armor but the head is very different to from engineer from Prometheus and Covenant.

By memory we all had the same colored robes however my memory mainly recalls being extremely sleepy that day haha. 

Perhaps they colored some robes during the edits. I guess better clarity once it's available to buy/rent.

The whole body must have been genetically modified, since the engineers are capable of modifying DNA and speeding up evolutionary tasks. Especially after they had several million years to upgrade their technology and knowledge.

We won't get any answers probably by Ridley Scott, since he just fucked us by killing all the Engineers in Covenant, so he doesn't have to answer all those uncomfortable questions. It's sad, that the only interesting part about the Alien universe was vanished from the surface of Planet 4.

I am sure they have edited much and changed the appearance of some of the actors and cloths. Just take a look at the special edition of Prometheus, they changed many things and the appearance of the "Engineer".

Mostlikely clothes, makeup and other important things change from time to time, or become changed after the editing.

There are 100% Female Engineers or beings...

This raises a massive Question as to why was we Created?

Spaights Draft had it that these Engineers where very Ancient Millions of years old... and they had advanced so much that they lost the ability to Procreate, and that they would have had to come up with more inventive ways of Procreation.

But the whole Seeding Process in his Draft.. (Evolve Primates) would have taken  10's of thousands of years.  And would have put the Sacrificial Scene at over 150'000 years ago. Thats a long time to wait for the eventually evolution of Modern Man.

But the drafts which include Lindeloffs did put the Sacrificial Purpose as being very important to the Future/Needs of the Engineer Race.

some Ancient Cultures and Mythos have tails of Man being created first and that time past by before Females were introduced...

Therefore maybe these beings had no Females, or Lost them and they Sacrificial Scene (one that would taken place on Earth) was the objective of creating a Humanoid Race that will eventually evolve to give them Females...

The Engineers then come and collect the Females, and then use them to Procreate with... just as in Genesis 6:4 where the Sons of God (Angels) came down and mated with the Daughters of Man.... throughout different Mythos we see the GOD's have a infatuation with 4 Things.

1) Power

2) Worship

3) Gold

4) Females

I always felt the Engineer in Prometheus seemed very interested in Dr Shaw..... i made a Topic a While back to debate the Female Connection/Agenda.

I also think that if the Engineers could not Procreate, because they had no Females, or they was taken away or that they evolved into a sterile Race...  That this would also give a good reason why they would Worship the Xenomorph Life-Cycle as far as related Organisms...

As this allows for the Engineers to Bare, and Birth New Life, through Sacrifice which is important to their Culture.

Sadly nothing is mentioned as far as the whole Fresco... but to me it looks more like the Prometheus Punishment..

Which may had led to the creation of a Creature that then gave them a perverted way of being able to Bare a Child... so they Worshiped this... and Reverse Engineered and Experimented upon it.. until they achieved the Deacon in the Mural.

As far as PARADISE...

I think the best connection is to look at it directly as far as how Paradise is within the Bible and Paradise Lost.

*PARADISE is not where GOD came from.

*PARADISE is not where the Angels came from.

*PARADISE is the Cradle of Humanoid Civilization (Mankind)

*PARADISE is Guarded by and Watched over by Cherubim Angels.

The LV-223 Engineers could have been a Faction of these Guardians/Watchers who had upset the Hierarchy and was banished from Paradise with the Humans they had corrupted.. or they was banished for trying to do this and then they decided to create Humanoids themselves.

Or maybe these beings on Paradise are Engineers who  perform a Sacrificial Role that some Rebelled against and got banished.

We need to look at what Alien Covenant showed...

*Humanoids who all dwell within one City, that means they are easier to watch over and keep in check.  The Garden of Eden was just Once Place on Paradise where Mankind had to remain.

*They lacked much Technology apart from the Scorpion Docking Ship, that maybe the Watchers, watched over from.

*The Hanger had a Statues like the Buddha Offering ones, which maybe would hint these beings had some Sacrificial Role and they was used for this purpose (Sacrificial Scene).

*The Hall of Heads was referred to as being Superior Beings, the Apostles and Wise Men, and where the Race stores its Information/Archives... These Heads Look like the Elders.

Then we need to look at Prometheus..

*This place seems to have more Technology, and appears to be a Watch Place for over Earth where these Engineer Experiment on Life before seeding it to the Garden (Earth).

*The Juggernaughts Navigation System has links to many other Galaxies and the closest to ours is 2.5 Millions Light Years away... LV-223 being just over 39LY means these beings have/can travel and explore vastly more further than LV-223 and Paradise/Planet 4

So for a Race as Ancient, at least Hundreds of Millions of years old if not over a Billion, who can travel to various Galaxies.. means that the distance from Earth to LV-223 and Paradise is but a drop in the Ocean...

Then why would such a Advance Race, be Set up on Paradise in One City with a Lack Of Technology?

The Answer.... Logically means this Place is just a Place they used a base to seed and create Humanoids within this Galaxy or section of our Galaxy and the Elders and Engineers do not come from here... but the LV-223 Engineers did.. as they was the Watchers/Cherubim who Rebelled and got kicked out of Paradise.

Just tacking this on here, but did Ridley actually say they LOST the ability to procreate, or did he do one of those "The way I see it is that they lost the ability to procreate...or maybe they evolved beyond the need to procreate."  You know how he kind of ponders on these things as he explains them, using a lot of "I think..." and "Maybe they..."  But I thought there was a quote of him saying they evolved beyond the need to procreate sexually, and have moved up to seed entire planets.  This would make sense anyways, since sex and natural child birth can be pretty dangerous (STDs and all the life threatening things that come with birthing a child naturally).

Idk if you're reading this, BoZ, probably not, but I remember you telling us you had a video, idk if you still have it, I'd like to see it.

Indeed this was the Original idea, going back to Spaights ideas, which was the Engineers had evolved themselves to a point they lost the ability to procreate and had to come up with other means to do so.

Ridley Scott however suggested after Prometheus came out that the Engineers COULD create life in other ways (this could mean Procreate, or even Clone) but the Sacrificial Route was just the way they went about it, its how their culture had CHOSEN to do it.

And so looking at the Prometheus Engineers at that time, we had these beings that have either Evolved themselves past Procreation, or that these beings were kind of Evolved/Cloned this way so they can not Procreate.

Alien Covenant kind of muddies the water a bit as we see these beings are more Human looking, RS also confirming a few things.

*These are the ORIGINAL Engineers (does this mean LV-223 ones are not?)

*These beings (Engineers on Planet 4) also live for about 150 years.

While also saying the Hall of Heads are the Wise Men, Apostles, Hierarchy and Superior Beings... Superior to WHOM? Those Engineers on Planet 4 or Mankind?

Indeed it is interesting that we see Female Engineers, the Fact with closer inspection of Davids Workship drawings with translations of the hand writing we see that not only are there Female Engineers, but there are Infants which means they could Procreate.

This does bring the Question of why the Sacrificial Scene, or did this merely lead to those Engineers?

Adding Females and Procreation does change the Direction set by Jon Spaights in which the Engineers had Evolved themselves past Procreation and had to find other means to create Life.

While on the Subject of Female Engineers,  and maybe Females in General, i was going to make a New Topic to discus these Concept Works, by Wayne Haagg and Steve Messing, both of the Cathedral Dome Doors, which both feature depictions of Humanoids who are not like the Engineers, but one is very Sumerian Style and the Other Biblical/Greek.   The Biggest Thing of Importance appears to be FEMALES on the Doors.

What i would give to pick their brains for the reasons behind those similar designs on the Doors/Entrance, and why the Females?  Surely not Coincidence both designed the Cathedral and placed None Engineer looking Humanoids, or the relevance of Females?
