Weyland yutani - engineer cult?

some posters on here have noted the chair david sits on is shaped like the scorpion ship/juggernaut. If it isnt studio trickery and it serves the plot, could it be possible that weyland/yutani are secret engineer worshippers, having studied their interactions with humanity, or to take the mala'kak angle, the corporations may be in league with the engineers to use humans as sacrifices/test subjects for bioweapons. Helps explain the consistent deceptions by corporations in the alien series, the crews obliviousness to the real agenda yet androids that have a different set of rules. 

How can there be such a uncanny resemblance to what they find on paradise in that chair?
