I found this image and i'm willing to bet that is Shaw.
I also think that the eggs come from Shaw. (mutated Queen, Mother, Breeder.)
Shaw either got in this state by:
1. An infection already in her.
2. David experiments on her.
3. The engineers experiments on her.
Either way- It doesn't end happily for her.

MemberFacehuggerMay-09-2017 10:14 AMWe are going to have to wait at least another year to know what happened. At least until the book comes out.
Just dissapointed that the Engineers where nowhere to be found in Covenant. At least not in some miniscule role.
Is there an agenda the mods are not telling us about? ;)

MemberChestbursterMay-09-2017 10:21 AMFrom what I've been able to gather online, David experimented on her largely after she was dead. I'm curious as to whether those experiments started when she was alive.

MemberFacehuggerMay-09-2017 11:09 AMPretty sure that she died in Cryo and David used her body to tinker with. The eggs? I would find it pretty interesting if she was used to harvest the eggs.

MemberPraetorianMay-09-2017 4:21 PMIt's possible David began experiments on her while she was still alive, perhaps in an effort to save her or minimize the effects of what she was exposed to.
I think that his failure to save her and her subsequent death is what made him snap altogether, de-coupling him completely from caring about people of any kind anymore.

MemberTrilobiteMay-09-2017 4:35 PMBlackwinter-witch Possibly a case of killing two birds with one stone? Trying to save her via experimentation with what was at hand while also experimenting?

MemberFacehuggerMay-09-2017 4:58 PMIt is a strange twist if he tries to save her since he is the reason she is infected. Maybe he had a change of heart (I know...) having spent more time with her, and may feel 'droid guilt?'. But then I am left with the fact that time (with someone) means nothing to a machine that has gone rogue. And they wouldn't care about death, especially if we conclude that David is still matter of fact and sees death as a natural end to biological beings, regardless of the duration of life. I hope this is explained in the film. Computers don't care how long we are here.

MemberTrilobiteMay-09-2017 5:05 PMI get the vibe that he does what humans may call evil but is sensible to him. Tough to be mad at our creation's actions when we may be partly to blame even for just creating it let alone raising and teaching it. Lots of psycho babble possibilities here.

MemberOvomorphMay-09-2017 9:03 PMI think that featuring what David has done to Shaw (in some detail) in the film would make A:C even scarier and more disturbing. I hoped for it (for the sake of the film's impact) but I guess Ridley played it down, and we do not get to see much of what happened to Elizabeth (as I understand from reviews). And I think it would have more impact because, as gruesome as the scene(s) might be, they would impact the audience emotionally, since many audience members [familiar with Prometheus] care about Shaw one way or another. It is not like random blondes or random jocks in slasher/torture porn films - we do not care about them being mutilated and whatever else, because they are just random, just meat, while Shaw was a central character in Prometheus. And I think some other characters in Covenant are developed enough (and acted out nicely by the actors) to make us care about them as human beings, which makes their deaths produce more complex emotions among the audience.

MemberChestbursterMay-09-2017 9:12 PMEveryone knows about Shaws fate. I could never imagine she could fit like an experiment or squeezing the bottle in devil hands. I'm reading Spoiler videos on the net against the movie and other very pleased, this is crazy!

MemberOvomorphMay-09-2017 9:36 PMI don’t know if it is still canon, but the xenomorph seems to be able to adopt traits from its host (e.g. the runner in Alien 3). In Prometheus, David is admiring Shaw’s extraordinary survival instincts. Could it be possible that David has extracted this special trait from Shaw and transfected it into the facehuggers derived from Shaw? Just a reminder: Ash: “I admire its purity. A SURVIVOR... unclouded by conscience, remorse, or delusions of morality.” (I have already seen the movie. )

"Just dissapointed that the Engineers where nowhere to be found in Covenant"
I'm disappointed too but I am honestly not surprised. Remember all the people having a sook after Prometheus? This movie (Covenant) has been made as fan service for them. It was made full of Aliens so these idiots who can't think outside of the box shut the hell up.
Now that the one dimensional thinkers have something to chew on, Ridley can finally go and make the movie we were supposed to be watching this or next week, Awakening.
If it weren't for sookie baby fanboys we'd be watching a movie about Engineers, their homeworld and their weapons this week. What a shame huh? Instead Shaw is dead and Engineers are no where to be found. Hooray?

MemberPraetorianMay-09-2017 9:37 PMDistinctly possible, yeah.
Do we know for Certain that she was infected with the Black Goo and that it was Intentional on David's part?
Or, that it was malicious? He might have learned how that stuff works in response to Intent, and tried to use it as a medical aid to try to save her from something else?

MemberTrilobiteMay-09-2017 9:45 PMBlackwinter-witch We are starting to speak of David 8 as a person- interesting and possibly intentionally so. Maybe it says more about us than he or it. I think that is one of the layers to the franchise imo.

MemberFacehuggerMay-10-2017 4:40 AMHey, I just remembered that during a TV spot or trailer that I seen THIS person with three black holes in her arm that was leaking black ooze.
Maybe the same thing happened to Shaw, but this time the person doesn't die.
Also, If i'm right, and the infected people lay eggs; then she will become the new Mother, Queen, Breeder.
Can't wait to see how "Covenant" plays out ;)

MemberOvomorphMay-10-2017 4:50 AMI've got a feeling the black are just puncture holes, in other words if the lighting was better they'd look dark red.
I doubt the Neomorph drools Black Goo but I could be wrong, and I think this is the lady whom we've seen on the ground in stills, blood everywhere with the mature Neomorph eating her, tail wrapped around her legs etc.
Skrapha
MemberOvomorphMay-19-2017 3:12 PMShe puts antibiotic liquid on her arm over the cuts, that's what the black stuff leaking out is. I thought is was the goo as well, but then i went and saw the film.....*sighs softly, looks down at shoes.....

MemberFacehuggerMay-16-2018 9:13 AMSeen the movie, Also seen ADVENT, remember when David said that he was going to do the same thing to Daniels as he did with Shaw, and in ADVENT he said that Daniels was his queen, so I think David turned Shaw into an egg laying queen.

MemberDeaconMay-16-2018 3:46 PMI think the Ambiguity does hint at potentially TWO meanings for what David had said...
He did use/experiment with Dr Shaw to Perfect his Creation and obtain those Eggs... this is what the Evidence points too...
But on the other hand it appeared he tried to FORCE himself onto her... and i think maybe he had attempted this with Dr Shaw... we can see they had a Relationship and Grown Close... It is likely David Developed more than Platonic Love for Dr Shaw... you can imagine the Shock for Dr Shaw if David attempted to make a move on her... or even then offered that they could be a Partnership and Start a New Paradise... by using her Reproductive System..... something that she would surely Object to in either case.

MemberFacehuggerMay-26-2018 4:38 PMI mean, there are facts which can not be denied.
In A:C Shaw appears to be dead, which is a bad decision IMO.
I really hoped she would survive and tell her story to some extent.
But in retroperspective it makes somehow sense when you watched Prometheus where David infected her boyfriend on purpose to create an experimental specimen.
So i guess:
After Shaw repaired him he simply betrayed her and continued his old mission. Not for Weyland anymore but for his own perfidious reasons to become a god.
