Just before Michael Bishop arrived in their part of the facility on Fiorina 161 (Fury 161), Ellen Ripley and Robert Morse worked together to draw the xenomorph into a recess (above) in order to drop molten metal on it (below).
The xenomorph survived the molten metal bath and jumped up and landed on a series of pipes. At this point, Robert Morse and Ellen Ripley dumped cold water on the xenomorph in an attempt to kill the xenomorph with Thermal Shock.
The xenomorph's skin shatters due to Thermal Shock and the organism explodes leaving ample forensic evidence for Michael Bishop's team to collect and analyze.

MemberTrilobiteSep-03-2017 1:31 PMI love Alien 3! One thing that sets it apart from the rest is that it is the only climactic xeno death that doesn't get sucked out into space- even AC did that.
It would be interesting to see the xeno shrapnel burn through everything it hit.

MemberNeomorphSep-09-2017 2:58 AMNot that I have thought about this a lot but that is one of the reasons why I like Alien 3 because the monster didn’t die from being shot out of the airlock. I don’t like the CGI of when the skull cracks but other than that it is fine. There is no reason to have the monster killed in the same way over and over again.
