Little indie horror game

StaffNeomorphDec-13-2018 1:01 PMChristmas is getting closer, so I thought I'd share an indie sci-fi horror game related to Christmas, also very reminiscent of Alien. It's called PLANET OF BLOODTHIRSTY SANTA (I know it sounds silly), by indie horror game developer Puppet Combo.
Little about Puppet Combo:
Puppet combo (originally Pig Farmer games) is an indie horror game studio, mostly known
for creating 80's styled VHS slasher horror games for PC. Some of puppet combo's games are Power drill massacre, Babysitter bloodbath (it was originally a Halloween game but it was changed due to copyright issues), Stay out of the house, The Night Ripper, just to name a few.
One of puppet combo's games that actually terrified me the most is Power drill massacre. Puppet combo has made lots of creepy games over the years and is still making them. You
can support Puppet Combo on his patreon. 5$ or more gives you an early access to all of puppet combo's games and future projects.
Also, check out Puppet Combo's site.
Now onto the game I mentioned:
"Scavenger crew lands on a seemingly deserted planet to gather mineral ore. Soon they discover that the planet was inhabited by Santa and his elves. Something terrible has happened, and the elves are gone. Will the crew escape alive or will they succumb to the terror of planet of bloodthirsty Santa?"
The game itself is unfinished because the developer is busy with other projects, only a demo is available for download.
You can get the demo here.
Or you can just watch other people play it on youtube.

MemberTrilobiteDec-13-2018 2:44 PMUh Oh! At 11:50 below, someone ripped off the Resident Evil 2 safe room music. Unsure if it is actual or added in.
Gotta hand it to indie developers though- they keep things simple, effective and to the point. Survival horror is about the basics.

StaffNeomorphDec-14-2018 3:22 PMIt's using Unity engine, plus you can switch between 3rd person and first-person mode. I started following Puppet combo since 2017 because retro VHS styled games are what creeps me out. One example I can think of is 98DEMAKE, a youtube channel who's making videos about how modern games would have looked like if they were made in the '90s.
1998 outlast video for some reason looks 10x creepier than the original game.

I'm fucking sick of all those Slenderman and Five nights at Freddy's games. Most of them are pretty much the same.

Switching between perspectives is always a good option if developers can provide it.

StaffNeomorphDec-25-2018 5:22 AMSince Puppet combo won't be able to finish POBTS at the end of this year, he is instead working on another Christmas slasher game similar to another game he made called Feed me Billy. It's called Christmas Massacre, and you take control of a killer dressed in Santa costume and you break into people's homes and try to kill them without getting caught.
