"A man created the perfect organism..."
Rest in peace master H. R. Giger (1940-2014)
I found the couple of Alien Artwork Book preview images. I'm still researching clear PDF's.
Still my favorite series are: Ailens (1986) and Alien Resurrection (1997)
The Art And Making Of Alien Covenant Book Review
The Art Of The Prometheus Book Review
Bonus: Alien Resurrection Images and Concept Arts
It was really cool game. We waited for 3 years. The movie was released in 1997. Then the developers
released the game in 2000. But it was worth the wait. Because the game was an amazing 3D art like movie.

MemberNeomorphJul-22-2020 10:14 AMInteresting, thanks. The Newborn still makes me laugh because it feels so out of place aesthetically. It looks like they had a skeleton and then they poured buckets of melted cheese on it and went from there to what it became. Making something new is not wrong in itself but what they ended up with was a disaster.
That surgery scene in Prometheus is nasty, it really works. It is probably the scene in Prometheus that made me feel the most uncomfortable.

I actually liked the Neomorph, but i agree the Actual Costume did not Quite look as Good/Polished as the Concept it was Based Off also the CGI Attack Scene (Bitten off Rosenthal Head) also was Flawed.
Its also a shame some of the Prometheus Concepts and Prop work Never made it into the Movie.... Toxic Avenger Fifield was Disappointing.

I actually prefer the Neomorph design in the actual film over the concept art one, simply because the jaw is much longer and it has spiky teeth.
The Neomorph jaw from concept art looks like that of a chimpanzee.
Besides, wasn't neomorph heavily inspired by the goblin shark?

MemberDeaconJul-27-2020 3:40 PM" wasn't neomorph heavily inspired by the goblin shark?"
To a degree YES...
But so was the Deacon too... both as far as the JAW goes... some of the Concepts for earlier Drafts to AC had the MONSTER of the Movie even looking Quite like a Goblin Shark...
I will add a LOT of these Concepts seemed to be from 2015 and 2016, we did have those Kang Lee ones from 2014 which are LIKELY to be from a Draft before Dante Harper had wrote his Version of Paradise Lost.
It seems a Shame that he has NOT done any Interviews or Talked about those Concepts.. I also would like to see some of the ideas from the Earlier Drafts.

MemberDeaconJul-27-2020 3:51 PMOh i forgot to say that i like how some of Hallets Work does remind me of some of the Art Style that Gary Harrod used (Artist for Games Workshop in the 80's/90's and also did Computer/Video Game Magazine Covers).
Similar style to some of Hallets work

The Goblin shark thing probably has got something to do with the Deacon. Remember how it looked when it cut through the Engineer in Prometheus, it reminded me of a Shark's fin that first got out before we saw the whole monster. I wonder how many that thought of Jaws when they saw that scene.
