I really hope that he just did a lesser version of what the Engineers did. The thought that humans created David, that in turn created what could be humanities downfall takes out the mystery of the Xeno, if you ask me. Unfortunately they messed up the prequels that much by making it the David-show, so it's at the point when I doubt that they can be saved.
Somebody uploaded the poster on the Alien Romulus imdb page and that got folks thinking its official. Nuno pointed it out on his twitter/x page and it was removed.
I recall a similar thing happened with the now cancelled alien 5, people were uploading fan arts and fan posters to the imdb page it was crazy.

Fan art, but still a great piece of artwork. I’m quite eager to see the official first poster for Romulus.
I always subscribed to the theory that the Engineers represented a physical image of Heaven’s fallen angels (demons). These once supreme beings lacked the ability to reproduce and were envious of Humanity. Humanity being God’s prized creation. The Engineers didn’t engineer Humanity but more so wanted to corrupt their DNA and thus, taint the fruits of God’s garden so to speak.
I always saw the Engineer’s plan to eradicate Mankind with the Black Goo as a metaphorical display of the Biblical rapture. The Black Goo doesn’t outright KILL the host - it transforms it into an abomination of sorts. Much like demons corrupt a soul and distort it and turn it into something ungodly.
So no, I don’t think they see human females and their ability to reproduce as sacred but more so a trait they’re envious of and they have a natural disdain for Humanity because they themselves are outcasts and we are the “saved” beings who still have access to an eternal life free of pain upon our death.
Just shared some of his concept art to the homepage but this thread contains even better coverage of the Titan Alien so I’ll be front paging this thread to give it more exposure. Great work keeping us up to date on new artwork releases Nebula!

You would probably get a kick out of the ALIEN RPG then, they add new aliens to the lore and I'm not just talking about xenomorphs. even if you are not into tabletop RPGs the game books are filled with additional lore bits that the films are too afraid to go.
Strange new normal alien animals
The Arcturians are given more attention
The black goo makes more monsters than just xenomorphs.
The Deacon and Trilobites now collectively part of the protomorph-line is explored more.
The Praetomorph "aka Planet 4/David's xenomorphs" are explored more.
Those exposed to the black goo are explored more.
So far they haven't explored too much of the Engineers yet, but hopefully we get an Engineer lore book.
Politics concerning the human-side of the alien franchise is explored more.
I wish that we'll get more about the Engineers, and not a repeat of what we've been given a lot. The franchise also contains various things, they don't need to have the Xeno every time. Please don't make it all about androids, and also give us human characters to care for that are well-written.
The skull in the concept art looks to be human, if that blue stuff is his helmet it kind of looks like the helmet from the Nostromo crew
I wonder if they would use Romulus in any meaningful way, is it the name of the ship? the name of the planet?
I see the RPG was trying to make sense of it all....
But in Regards to the Movie Canon.... we cant be sure if they will STICK to what the RPG Books had attempted to show... we will get some idea after the Movie and TV Series and any Comments that RS makes in the Aftermath.

ALIEN: = Derelict Alien Ship and Discovery of Chest Busted Long Dead Pilot.
ALIEN ROMULUS: = Derelict W-Y Ship and the Discovery of Long Dead Human Crew (likely some Chest Busted).
Indeed its a Fan Made Poster...
Looking at the Cast and Plot... i think that ROMULUS may end up being a Working Title, and it could likely CHANGE.... even if NOT i cant see the Movie having any Connections to the Romulus Mythos.
Well hopefully next ALIEN DAY we will get Trailers, and Preview Posters and the like.

Looking at the Evidence.... the Neomorph Spores are a Result of the Black Goo Leaking from the Canisters after the Crash and making its way down the Water Stream on the Mountains and Infecting some Native Fungi to EVOLVE them into the Neomorph Spores.

A lot depends on HOW MUCH they take the RPG as Canon.... its seems that Fede Alvarez's is insisting the MOVIE is Canon to the Prequels and will NOT go and Conflict what those Movies had shown.
With Ridley Scott on board it depends on HOW MUCH is HE wishing to STICK with what his Intentions were with the Xenomorph... which the LAST TIME he spoke about them, he implies that David's Creation has some WAY to GO before it EVOLVES to what we have in ALIEN.
Regarding the Engineers then YES they are LIKELY all GONE from Planet 4, but RS had indicated there are Engineers still around and that SOME would RETURN to PLANET 4..... but we dont know if he will be Following up on that...... i think the Engineers will NOT be seen again.... (does not mean they are GONE...)

I would say that YES this Movie will be like the Original ALIEN in that there will NOT be many Shooting Locations it will LIKELY had been Filmed in a Studio with a LOT of Green Screen.

This would seem to NOT be the Case....it seems the MOVIE is Basically going to be Very Close to ALIEN... its going to be NUTS/BOLTS like 80% the Same.
Hypothetical Spoilers...
It appears we will have a SHIP that has 5 Young Crew and a Android... we cant be sure of WHAT there Objective is..... maybe they are just going for a Space Cruise, anyway they will come Across some HOW a Weyland Yutani Space Ship which is Abandoned.... we cant be sure IF this W-Y SHIP is Floating in Space or Stranded upon some Planet.
It seems that some of the Crew Decide to go and Investigate out of Curiosity and ask the ANDROID to gain Access to the SHIP..... it seems likely they may Discover some Long Dead Skeletons of the W-Y Crew (maybe one or more Chest Bursted?).
One of the Young Explorers will be Infected with a Face Hugger and likely be taken back to their Ship (unless they Discover the W-Y Vessel on a Planet in which case maybe their Ship gets Stranded too).
It would seem the ANDROID will become the Antagonist again and will WISH to ensure the Survival of the Xenomorph...
With ONE MEMBER becoming the HOST we will likely have 1-2 Survivors (LETS HOPE ITS NOT... a Blow the Darn Thing out of the AIRLOCK/SHIP kind of Ending). We are likely to see the Remaining 4 Crew being Hunted Down by a LONE XENOMORPH.... where we will see another 2-3 Casualties.
Bottom Line..... it does-not seem it will DIFFER from ALIEN much, if they get Stranded on the Planet then it would be more a ALIEN COVENANT meets ALIEN 3 kind of Flick with LESS Humans being Hunted Down.
If this INDEED does seem to be the Case, then it really does-not offer much NEW and have to ASK what was the POINT..... likely to Soft-Retcon well to give the ALIEN Experience to a Younger Generation with a Younger Cast (i have a feeling they could be Annoying)...
But HOPEFULLY i am WAY OFF BASE here...

Does xeno acid eat bones? You could have a vat of it, so you could dispose of your enemies, without leaving a trace of DNA.

I sure hope we get a classical xenomorph in this film. When it comes to Human-birthed Xenomorphs, I prefer the snake-like chestbursters over the fully developed ones.

Wasn't that added years after the movie came out? Because I don't recall Lambert being trans in the scripts.
well ignoring David being the xenomorph's creator, I think he still killed off the engineers and made his own variant of the xenomorph called Praetomorphs (its a name given to David's creation thanks to the Alien RPG).
The xenomorphs we seen in prior films (minus Resurrection and the AVP films) are of the original stock made by the Engineers.
That said to reiterate, the xenomorphs were not indigenous to Lv-426 and the xenomorphs on planet 4 are an offshoot species, not true xenomorphs. So where did the xenomorphs come from? If they were bioweapons, maybe they are grown in some sort of biomechanical weapons factory? If the Engineers released the xenomorphs on their ancient foes, possibly there could be hundreds if not thousands of worlds with xenomorphs hibernating beneath its surfaces.
@Xenotaris Interesting fact, Lambert is canonically trans, it was revealed in the movie Aliens.

I consider David an unreliable narrator. I think he's lying about creating the xeno or killing the Engineers ( I think they were long dead by the time Shaw and David arrived ). Just his damaged/conflicted synthetic brain spewing nonsense.
But, there are Eggs on Planet 4 and LV426.
Right now, the history of the xenomorph is a complete mess and I'm fine with what ever they dream up.

There is only one set photo ...and it's hard to tell if it's aboard a spaceship or a building on the surface.
Also being a producer doesn't necessarily mean that Scott would have full creative control over the movie. Spielberg who directed the first Jurassic Parks was a big T. rex fan but he couldn't stop Johnson from incorporating the T. rex was a scavenger and a wuss into Jurassic Park 3, who Spielberg worked on as a producer.
