BugHunter, thanks! I'm a late-comer, but I'm really enjoying the site.

@ BugHunter
Thanks a lot BugHunter! We appriciate your site!

Okay, I'll look into that for you Jones, you're right. Thanks for posting.

Ditto.
But I also want to applaud the work of BugHunter who seems to be single-handedly maintaining this site. I hope others will join me in appreciation of the efforts of BugHunter that have already attracted 1900+ (and counting) fans, which is testament to the cool site BugHunter has provided for the rest of us. If I've missed any players in the background please do mention them so I can give my thanks.

Yes! Thank You Bughunter! I couldn't thank you enough for not only maintaining this site on your own but also updating it on a consistent basis. I'd love to see a messenger of some kind though. thanks again for all your work!

I appreciate the support guys! My apologies for the delays on getting these features cranked out. This forum/blog runs on custom software which I developed. Not like a free service blog/forum. But I am working hard to get these requests met.
@ [b]Starbeast[/b] and [b]Ripley Clone 8[/b] Thanks for the kind words! At the moment yes, I am the one who maintains the website we're on right now, but I only co-maintain the Facebook page. Can't forget our friend Mike over there. I have chosen a few individuals to help run the site however as these forums are getting too large for one person to keep an eye on. Those individuals will be emailed very soon. I'm just finishing up the specific "Staff" membergroups features for these users.
And also wanted to add, I appreciate your thanks, but it is the fans which make these forums such a success. Without your support by posting on articles and threads/liking our facebook page/following our twitter, we would not be the #1 Prometheus Fan Site on the net. It is all thanks to you guys. So Thank YOU! I hope you all continue to enjoy these forums as much as I do!

@ BugHunter. Are you still looking for moderators/admin or anything else to do with the running of this site or the facebook page? I could devote at least 2-3 hours a day, maybe more if im not that busy. I didnt know you ran the site off custom software you designed, major kudos to ya. Thanks for all the hard work you are putting in to all this.

@BugHunter
Again Thank you for your work. But I have a crazy question, after Prometheus comes out, are you going to start a Prometheus 2 website or are you going to keep this one?

BugHunter ~ Love the site. Awesome work!
NEED HELP. I know how to copy and paste images.....but why cant i seem to get that to work when I want to paste a picture in a post????
ReplybigbirdjimmyPrometheus ForumStay on current page after loginJan 18, 2012
@ Game Over Man
I have posted a picture once. Right click the Picture, go to properties, find the address, copy it, paste it in your post. It sould just show the address and not the picture. Then when you hit "Add Reply" it should show the picture on your comment.

Hmmmm that didn't seem to work???

[b]@Engineer Prototype[/b], I will take your offer into consideration, I am looking for someone who has that kind of time to spare moderating the forums. I'll email you privately.
[b]@bigbirdjimmy[/b], I do plan to keep this website running. If there is (and probably will be) a Prometheus sequel, this site will remain very popular and will act as a top news site for whatever comes next as well. You can count on that. After the film's release, I plan to transform this website into a Prometheus social network if you will, allowing for more customized profiles and news feeds. Like a Facebook for Prometheus fans only better. Much better.
[b]@Game Over Man![/b], You need the direct URL of the image you want to post, and then surround that image with IMG tags. More information on using BBcode in these forums can be found in [url=http://www.prometheus-movie.com/community/forums/topic/35]this thread[/url].
Thanks again for the feedback and support guys, really appreciate knowing you all enjoy the site so much! I'll continue to do what I can to make this site your top choice for Prometheus news and discussions. Keep the requests and feedback coming - it will only make this place better and better!

yeah i wear glasses so i'm not into wearing two pairs of glasses i would prefer imax
Replyalteredstate.Prometheus Forum3D/2DJan 18, 2012
trouble is i live in the south of england theres no decent cinemas here i mean there are plenty of cinemas but they are all old not even digital the last time i went to a cinema the picture was terrible the screen was washed out and had poor definition.
I shall have to travel to london for a decent screen which i intend doing for this it will be the first time in a cinema for me in ten years so really im looking forward to the blu ray more than my first screening of prometheus.
ReplybigbirdjimmyPrometheus Forum3D/2DJan 18, 2012
From what I hear, Ridley is filming with 3D cameras so it wont be a conversion. I plan on seeing it in both 3D and 2D. As long as I see it I dont care.
Replyalteredstate.Prometheus Forum3D/2DJan 18, 2012
well 2d for me first and if i can afford laser eye surgery maybe ill go for the 3d version lol
ReplyRipley Clone 8Prometheus Forum3D/2DJan 18, 2012
Well for me I just don't think 3D has been mastered well enough that its really worth what the advertisers make it out to be. In most 3D movies today you maybe see 1-3 things pop out of the screen and that's it. 3D to me is like every inch of the film comes out to you almost as though you could touch it all. As a viewer being able to view it in 3 dimensions is what 3D is. A few things popping out of the screen is honestly worthless. I would rather see it in 2D. Real 3D is only slightly better than regular 3D. Society has LONG way to go before 3D becomes a quality norm.
ReplyGuestPrometheus Forum3D/2DJan 18, 2012
I really dont give a $#!+ for 3D.
it was a nice experience with
Avatar or some other kids
Animation movies. But i prefer
Standard screen for a movie
Where i focus on its content
Instead of some gimmicks.
Reply20thcenturybuickPrometheus Forum3D/2DJan 18, 2012
pg13? that sucks...well it might have just happened to be pg13 anyway...i can see there being more emphasis on plot and discovery than people running from an alien and getting ripped apart
ReplyxenomanPrometheus Forum3D/2DJan 18, 2012
Yes that is true. This will be more about discovery then being picked off by aliens. And I have seen many PG13 films that were great and the rating really did not take away from the quality. Lord of the Rings for example.
Replyalteredstate.Prometheus Forum3D/2DJan 18, 2012
If it really is a pg 13 then i wont go to the cinema to watch it .
ill rent this shit and only buy a r / 18 film
Replyalteredstate.Prometheus Forum3D/2DJan 18, 2012
Ridley stated months ago he wanted to make a really nasty film that's what got me interested again if this is pg 13 then thats it ill never trust the hype again....
as for TLOR films their not my idea of good films sorry guys
i'm just not into family films..
ReplyFrantzPrometheus Forum3D/2DJan 18, 2012
i hope it will be a PG13 ... more story less distractions .
Replyalteredstate.Prometheus Forum3D/2DJan 18, 2012
ohhhhh well i guess ill be in the que for the hobbit to
ReplyXenophobePrometheus Forum3D/2DJan 18, 2012
@Alteredstate - I'm from southern England aswell, we have a lovely cinema where I live! Also, if the movie is filmed correctly in 3D like Avatar/Transformers Dark of the Moon etc then it maybe able to work.
ReplywarchildPrometheus Forum3D/2DJan 18, 2012
I agree with being disappointed with the pg13 rating. I thought he could have at least went R rated just to emphasize the Horror aspect of the series. I also plan to only watch the 2d version in theater.
ReplyartyohPrometheus Forum3D/2DJan 18, 2012
If a PG-13 theatrical cut is the price I have to pay for this movie to be made, I'm really not going to complain about it. The "unedited" cut will be available to anyone who purchases the blu-ray. Is anyone who hangs out on this site [i]not[/i] planning to purchase the blu-ray?
ReplyRipley Clone 8Prometheus Forum3D/2DJan 18, 2012
Oh man I am DEFINETALLY getting it on blu-ray. I can't fucking wait. My 55' LED Samsung TV and stereo system. Ahhhh!!! its glorious my friend.
ReplyflacnvinylPrometheus Forum3D/2DJan 18, 2012
Amen. Not to mention 7.1 DTS properly calibrated.
I look forward to seeing it in the theater, in 2D. The only reason I would even consider 3D is if Ripley says that something will be missing from the experience. The other thing is depth of field...
3D films frequently have certain things out of focus and certain things in focus. It draws more emphasis to whatever is 'jumping out of the screen', but personally I want to let MY eyes determine what I'm staring at. If there's some weird design on a wall, maybe I want to stare at that instead of someone's helmet!
