I believe that it will be her as the android as well or we both could be fooled at this point. At this point, we are going to see the gears turn in the next few days to weeks as it will take full steam now...it is like waiting for them to press the button to launch it...

Here is the applicable passage from that synopsis...
The crew sets about attempting to repair the Prometheus, while Elizabeth Shaw leads a recon expedition to investigate nearby structures, which turn out to be a cavernous Engineer temple. Inside the temple, Shaw’s team encounters a bizarre BIO-BRAIN, a biomechanical humanoid face set within a towering pillar, as well as thousands of seemingly primitive URNS. David takes several of the urns back to the vessel for analysis. Investigating the urns, David discovers that they contain the genetic material for thousands of species within a viscous liquid called BIOFORMER which can rewrite any living organism on a cellular level. Basically, possession of the substance gives its owner the power to create life. Vickers interacts with David and seemingly innocently leads to the Bioformer infecting David through a cut in his finger. Within the depths of the Temple, we find several living Engineers who discover the transgression of the Humans, and remotely rewrite the stolen Bioformer to make it into a weapon. The Engineers capture Holloway and run a number of horrific experiments on him, injecting him with the Bioformer and allowing him to return to the vessel.

looks to me as if it could turn out that all life as we know it was created this way and that this is the "discovery about the origins of Human Life" Ripley was referring to in his short but already released plot outline..

In that High res photo, that might be the creatures head they are looking at also, the body has no arms...was he a sacrifice or punished for stealing?
ReplySpartacusPrometheus ForumEggs and Urns in PrometheusNov 30, 2011
it's difficult to tell from the angle of the body.
But I agree that it must be the head in the front.
wait wait wait, no it isn't...check this out.
Hit the "NEWS" link at the top of the page.
Now call up the high rez shot of the Ampule Room from here and look at the inlay on the bottom right NOW.
That's the body of a grower{Engineer} or a Bio Suite as you suggested I believe with it's head potentially cut off laying feet/legs in the fore front...we can't really tell if the head is up there or not...the rest of the body is cutting off our view.
You can see it way way clearer here on this High Rez shot.

Feet and legs in front
I do see part of an arm coming off the body in the far left bottom corner of the inlay.
The head at the top is not visible at all to me.
That's 99.9999% a dead "engineer" {grower} with his head more than likely still attached, we just cannot see it from that angle.
ReplyMr.JPrometheus ForumEggs and Urns in PrometheusNov 30, 2011
True...hard to tell with this pic, we know something is there but what and I am leaning to the idea that might be an egg as well...what kind of Egg, dunno but perhaps this how one of the two women get infect or they bring it back to the ship....as well as one of the urns and thus begins the most haunting film that will make me hide my face in my girls lap...

This is for Ruhaniya...
[special edition]
[during the drop to LV-426]
Hudson: I'm ready, man, check it out. I am the ultimate badass! State of the badass art! You do NOT wanna fuck with me. Check it out! Hey Ripley, don't worry. Me and my squad of ultimate badasses will protect you! Check it out! Independently targeting particle beam phalanx. Vwap! Fry half a city with this puppy. We got tactical smart missiles, phase-plasma pulse rifles, RPGs, we got sonic electronic ball breakers! We got nukes, we got knives, sharp sticks...

Hudson: Oh yeah, sure! With those things runnin' around? You can count me out.
Hicks: Yeah I guess we can just count you out of everything, Hudson.
Bishop: [speaking under Hicks] I'll go.
Hudson: That's right, man.
Bishop: I'll go.
Hudson: Hey, why don't you go, man!
Bishop: [more loudly] I'll go.
Ripley: What?
Bishop: I'll go. I mean, I'm the only one qualified to remote-pilot the ship anyway.
Hudson: Yeah right, man, Bishop should go.

Hudson: Good idea!

MOMENTS THAT GAVE ME "THE SHIVERS"
Newt: My mommy always said there were no monsters - no real ones - but there are.
Ripley: Yes, there are, aren't there?
Newt: Why do they tell little kids that?
Ripley: Most of the time it's true.
-----------------------------
Ripley: How many drops is this for you, Lieutenant?
Gorman: Thirty eight... simulated.
Vasquez: How many *combat* drops?
Gorman: Uh, two. Including this one.
Drake: Shit.
Hudson: Oh, man...
----------------------------
Ripley: They grab the colonists, they move them over there and they immobilize them to be hosts for more of these. Which would mean that there would have to be a lot of these parasites, right? One for each colonist. That's over a hundred at least.
Bishop: Yes, that follows.
Ripley: But each one of these things comes from an egg, right? So who's laying these eggs?
Bishop: I'm not sure. It must be something we haven't seen yet.
----------------------------
Ripley: Lieutenant, what do those pulse rifles fire?
Gorman: 10 millimeter explosive tip caseless. Standard light armor piercing round, why?
Ripley: Well, look where your team is. They're right under the primary heat exchangers.
Gorman: So?
Ripley: So, if they fire their weapons in there, won't they rupture the cooling system?
Burke: [interjecting] Ho, ho, ho. Yeah, she's absolutely right.
Gorman: [turns round to Burke] So? So what?
Burke: Look, this whole station is basically a big fusion reactor...
[Gorman turns back to stare, horrified, at the screen]
Burke: ...right? So you're talkin' about a thermonuclear explosion and "Adiós, muchachos."
Gorman: Oh, great. Wonderful. Shit!
--------------------------
Frost: Hey, I sure wouldn't mind getting some more of that Arcturian poontang! Remember that time?
Spunkmeyer: Yeah, Frost, but the one that you had was a male!
Frost: It doesn't matter when it's Arcturian, baby!
--------------------------
Hudson: Is this gonna be a standup fight, sir, or another bughunt?
Gorman: All we know is that there's still no contact with the colony, and that a xenomorph may be involved.
Frost: Excuse me sir, a-a what?
Gorman: A xenomorph.
Hicks: It's a bughunt.

I am one of the strange ones out there that absolutely loved the extended directors cut of Alien 3.
There are 2-3 separate death scenes in there that for me where just visually stunning far beyond any death scenes in any of the other films.
But I agree completely that The 2nd film by Cameron, "Aliens", was technically in a world by itself and had the most mass appeal by far of the four films.
ReplyBeserkerAlien Movies ForumMemories of AliensNov 30, 2011
There's a deleted scene when ripley runs into Burton looking for Newt, he has already been impregnated by an alien egg and she hands him a grenade and runs off without saying a word. I like Michael Biehn as Hicks, but to me, Hudson and Vasquez made this movie.
Also, they should show in a detailed graphic scene the facehugger's tube forcing its way down someone's throat after it has jumped on their face.

Aliens is the classic movie that the whole family can appreciate ...my mother was always in love with the movie ...until ..alien3 came out ...now she cant watch it anymore cos she know that newt go to die ( and to be honest alien 3 ruin the aliens experience to me too ).
Btw was a great movie .. i watched it almost 50/60 times and is one of those "perfect" movies where everything click perfectly .
Even if ALIEN went more deep inside to me ( it surely changed my life in many little ways ) ALIENS have so many things ..so many discovers ..so much tension .. great characters ...is a classic movie but at the best .
immagine they should continue to ruin cameron's movies
TITANIC 2 ...Was too late to save Rose ..she died in the return voyage ..the movie will talk about other people and ..
AVATAR 2 ...at the start of the movie Pandora is destroyed by a giant meteor ... the movie will follow a group of scientists that try to find a new planet of the earth population ...
TERMINATOR 3bis - sarah connor die with the little john in a car crash .. the machines now rules the earth and we follow them killing the last human beings ...

A video game...a really really well made video game for the PS3 and XBox would be a nice addition as well.
I have never seen one, not even one, really well made Alien Franchise video game, they all sucked.
& I played 'em all.
I want #1- for it NOT to be first person only but have the option for 3rd as well like the original SOCOM did.
#2- For the story line to follow the films but also have lots of bonus replay value like the new Batman video game does.
#3- For the atmosphere and sound of the film and the sound and atmosphere of the game to be identicle.
That's all.
LOL.

I have read everyone else's simulated plots and outlines and speculation but I do not think any of them are as plausible as mine, simply because everyone else has completely stayed and strayed away from the one simple point we got out of all 4 films.
Waylund Yutani's Primary Interest in the Xenomorph was and is it's use as a bio-weapon.
Every Single thing they did with regard to the time line of these films was Evil, and was done with the sole intention of obtaining a Xenomorph and creating a bio-weapon from it.
The stone statue is clearly an Alien created artifact of worship created by an Alien Race in a Man's image.
I think an Alien Race which once feared man has flip flopped and now uses mankind as slaves and that this is the Race Of Growers...of which the Space Jockey is/was a member...he's just a Grower...one of many using mankind as slaves to Harvest a planet{S}
Prometheus crash landed on LV-426 after an accident involving the crew of Prometheus which triggered the Xenomorphs very existense and appearance if you will...in our world.
The final battle will simply be a struggle to keep the Xenomorphs as usual, from ever reaching Earth.
The crew of Prometheus is going to discover that mankind has been used as slaves by the Growers perhaps for hundreds or even thousands of years and this will eventually trigger the conflict itself which in turn determines whether or not any of the Alien creatures themselves ever reach Earth.
There will have to be a Queen on board Promethues.
That's it man.
No time travel no, wormhole, no space warp, and I only say that because CLEARLY all of those things just Do Not Fit the story at All.
If time travel were even possible they Wayland Yutani company would not be building these massive commercial freighters. They'd be constructing vessels more properly suited for time travel.
As for Ash or Bishop or Call, whether either appears in the film is not a sure thing but what is clear is that all of them but more than likely just one of them should be, logic dictates, somehow and as a "plant" on Prometheus.
Ripley #8 was Clearly Never created if not for the on going existence of Bishop.
Ash has been destroyed completely and his "cell" depleted by Ripley's own hand so it is not likely him.
Calls intentions towards Ripley are clearly for her own good, which leaves Bishop..or some entirely New Android we have not been introduced to yet.
Again, that's how I see this, and nothing is to say that I am not terribly wrong except for the fact that it fits every single thing Ridley Scott has said about the film so far, and especially the Script by Spaiths which we now know is a big fat part of this thing.
But, If I turn out to be wrong I will be the first to admit it, all I want is for the story to make sense and the film to live up to the hype.
Something else troubles me too.
There are apparently a lot of people out there that want this thing to fail...and many many more people even doubting this film should have been made at all.
It is fort this reason that I* think not only will this film be special, it will be one of the moist special films ever made in Science Fiction History, it will be Ripley's slap in the face to EVERYONE that doubted he could do this with any credibility and/or elagance.
And IMO The story and the Story Line itself is Everything here. The Character's are everything here, it is how he works.
ReplyFrantzPrometheus ForumLV-426 after all.....Nov 29, 2011
I agree with the most you did write Spartacus but not on two things
1) forget that Queen ...is not a Scott creature ... if he really want to discard all the alien and Avp movies the first thing to do is to avoid the queen . There is not need for the existence of a queen ...they have already DNA , Engineers , urns ... that will ben enough.
2) they will avoid the same cliche of the "bad" company that sacrifice people for money ... and btw what the WY do will be totally disjointed from other movies except the first Alien .
ReplySpartacusPrometheus ForumLV-426 after all.....Nov 29, 2011
In retrospect and because I agree completely that, the Queen idea is not the most probable, one never knows, but I do think a reference however small at the very least will need to be made to the fact a Queen is/was on board Prometheus, had to be for the events which occurred afterward on LV-426 to maintain their credibility and still make sense.
I would love it if they could in fact "avoid the Bad Company" mentality I would love that, but they still have to do it in a way that maintains the credibility for the film "Alien" at the very least, and that in and of itself infers some conspiracy to exploit the creature as is 100% represented in the character of "ASH".
ASH was clearly a part of a larger plot to weaponize the creatures capabilities, and was a perceived Pre-Events-Of-The-Nostromo-Plant by the company itself...no...?....
Just making sure they can cut all that out without disturbing the integrity of the first film.
ReplyFrantzPrometheus ForumLV-426 after all.....Nov 29, 2011
I think things will be more simple
- they go to discover the origins of mankind ...the voyage is organized by the only corporation that can afford that , the Weyland , expecially for the willing of Vickers ( that explaing the "im so sorry" )
-they find a civilization that loved to experiments with DNA ( science gone mad ) , they are sick and perverts ( no no no theron nude with tentacles ...i mean in a scientific way ) ..part of the crew belive them as "gods" the other as "pervs"
- bad things start to happen
- the company ask Vickers to get back some samples ...she disobey cos she understood the evil nature of them ....
- all the crew get clear that the space jockeys are evil but is too late for many of them ..also the aliens get angry and they menace to destroy earth ...
- the last of the crew fight them back and win even if probably no one survive ... the SJs spaceship fall on the LV426
- at the Weyland HQ they notice that the last trasmissions from the crew were from a far solar sistem , they plan that sooner or later they will make a visit there .
still there is the alien warning signal that is the only real link between prometheus and Alien ... a last effort from the crew of the jockeys maybe
ReplydraekusPrometheus ForumLV-426 after all.....Nov 29, 2011
OK...i have no inside info on the film. But I honestly think a "queen" is not going to be involved. I've mentioned it before and I'll do so again...I believe the events/mythology of "Aliens", "Alien 3", "Alien Resurrection", "AVP", & "AVP 2", will all be ignored AND contradicted (i.e. ALIEN MYTHOLOGY REBOOT). Or, at best, the sequels may not be contradicted directly, but won't even be referenced. Just my opinion (and my wish).
While I may like and even love some of these sequels, they do not match up with the tone/intention of the first film. I love "Aliens" as a sci-fi action movie and love the fact that it gave way to great novels, comic books, toys, and video games. But is an entirely different film than the original ALIEN. Not only in the type of movie it is, but also in its originality.
On the "LEAKED" Script by Spaiths...
I did not like (again just my opinion). And frankly I don't think that script has any ties what-so-ever to the final script. I just don't think it something Ridley would do. Furthermore we have NO proof that the leaked script is a "[i]big fat part[/i]" of the final script. Why or where would anyone infer that from? Just because the final script was confirmed to have been a modified version of "AN" original script by Spaiths does not mean that the "Leaked" script WE read was THE ACTUAL original script written by Spaiths. (Not to mention that Spaiths SAID the leaked "Harvest" script was a fake.)
But lets say for a moment that the leaked script most of us have read is the actual original script written by Spaiths (Despite his dismissal of it). What we do know for sure is that that script has undergone a rewrite by Lindelof. Chances are that the rewrite completely changed the original script. All I'm saying is...don't hang your hopes on the leaked harvest script...I don't think much from it will make it into the final film we'll all be seeing next June.

I have to agree with "draekus". Scott is going in his direction and has no intention of mentioning or even think about the other films in the chain. Scott is creating a stand lone film that will explain the mystery of "Alien" we all have been asking for many years but I believe that he as a writer is not going in the direction of Aliens..though independently it was a good action film.,Scott is doing what Nolan did for Batman....a clean slate so to speak. I am glad that Scott is ignoring the other films ,as i would do in his position. I want the mystery of Alien to be kept in the dark. The more you dont see, the more frightened you will be and with Prometheus, he will do the same, scare the pants off you. I do imagine jumping into the arms of my girl when I see this movie...lol

Spartacus some good writing there. The slave theory is plausible. But what about this. We know that there is a battle going on to raise the cert on the movie so something gruesome is being planned (if scott wins) and if you look at Gigers work its easy to imagine what. Some sort of human/alien breeding? So the humans are bread to feed the xenos which are then used to clean up planets for the terra-forming.
All the talk from Scott and others over the months has been about something new only after much questioning did they eventually admit a link with Alien. I reckon this was done to please the financiers and broaden the fan base. Scott has always hinted at something completely new something thought provoking, so my take on this is that the link to Alien is tenuous and will not answer all questions. There was even talk of a second prequel last year. So we may learn little.
I also I dont completely buy the fact that WYC are looking for a weapon. I always believed that there was something good in Bishop. Lets face it he seemed to be the only 'friend' Ripley had. If he is the face of WYC then I reckon WYC set out on the mission with terraforming in mind but somewhere down the line this all changes. Androids can be simply reprogrammed.
Can someone please explain how WYC know so much about what is on lv426 in Alien. Enough to load up Ash 30 years after Prometheus happens unless of course, if you recall it took Ripley many years to get back to earth after Alien, it is Ash who is rescued and brought back to earth only to be repaired, his memory bank dissected and reprogrammed just in time to be signed on to the Nostormo. Someone has to get back from the Prometheus mission and I reckon its not a human. This thing is carrying info about the jockey ship on lv426 and whats on it so it must have witnessed the last events. In general I dont think lv426 will be significant here its just where the infected jockey crashes its ship and dies. Possibly it was carrying the eggs and one got loose.
All conjecture of course.

~Spartacus,
Ridley doesn't care about the other 3 movies. What happened in them weren't in thought when puting this together in my opinion. Ridley only cares about his baby...Alien, and he didn't even want to call this a prequel. Also my friend, in other posts you keep falling off the map about Weyland and time travel. The time travel deal is about the Jockeys Technology, not Weyland. Come back to earth my friend, your half way to Zeta on your way to an overdose.

Quite frankly I do not see how time travel can ever be a part of any of this.
Just my Opinion, not saying I do not like or admire the idea, just that IMO it 100% completely does not fit any of this.
I also do not buy the argument in any way that time travel is/was even necessary at all, I completely disagree, they 100% could have developed faster technology. that's it that's all.
Also, the "Substance" could not have been "weaponized" 30 years before Wayland Yutani decided they wanted it so...unless of course I am Dead Bang On The Money and Mankind has been Slaves the Growers for many many years...but even then...it does not seem plausible that the "goo" could have been weaponized already in lieu of ewhat transpires in all 4 Alien films...AFTER these events.
Just my Opinion.
I am a BIG BIG FAN of ALL CREATIVITY, and it is in fact a very creative idea, but I think with regard to this film franchise that idea of time travel should be carefully tempered.
ReplyKahnScriptPrometheus ForumTime Travel Possibility in PlotNov 29, 2011
Just in case nobody saw my identical response in the other almost identical thread:
Or... the scene with the derelict ship crashing happens millions of years in the past and it is only a flashback to explain the chronological order of events in a short timeline. (Or here is a completely insane idea, what if there is more than one space jockey ship? You know like how us humans don't build just one 747) Why do people come up with ideas like this? Time travel? If that was the case they could do a better calculation in time jumpin, get that bitch up to 88mph, barrel down on that clock tower and keep the AVP films from being made... I'm a huge fan of the Alien franchise, but why some fanboys get extravagant ideas about "what might happen" in the film is beyond me. My guess is... YOU WON'T KNOW TILL THE FILM COMES OUT!!! It really won't kill you to wait till summer.
Did you see those fireballs shooting down from the sky? What if Ryu from Street Fighter is in this film...? (read my blog to find out why this is probably true) /rant

These are supposedly smart creatures/beings, right? If they have the ability to create, what is to stop them from having the ability to bend time or make use or worm holes to get to point B from A?
From a writer standpoint, if used rightly, as we seen Lindholf use the technique in Star Trek, there is no telling what curve ball can be thrown into this film with the approval of Sir Scott.
