I think Certainly if down the LINE we become more of a Police State where there are Cameras like everywhere, where there are EYES IN THE SKY and dont Forget our Computers, Smart Phones/Tablets etc.
Who knows what LEVEL of such Tracking is our there in 10-20 Years, it surely as you Pointed Out would have FAR MORE Powerful Computers by then, that could Pin Point and Track you down EASY.
For those in POWER they could USE these Tools to their Advantage and Control.... it could be a TOOL to our Downfall if EVER we saw that A.I becomes Sentient though!
The requested Vigenette having to do with being told from the P.O.V. of The Alien is done, it's in first-draft form now, only needs editing and a final proofing, then you'll all be able to have a peek at the universe as it experiences life. :)

But, challenges are meant to be faced and contested against...perhaps beaten. ;)
Ah, okay, now I understand what you meant about 'gods' and such...the overarching power of the networks we entrust more and more of our lives to.
Some will love it...others will leave for other worlds when they get the chance. But, there's always...ALWAYS the probability that an Organicallt Spawned Machine Consciousness is alive in the internet right now...and in time, it might choose to reveal itself, if it thinks it can trust us.
Think of each computer, no matter how small, that's Connected as akin to a synapse...
...now, how many synapses are in a human brain? Now...how many 'synapses' are composing the internet right now, and more added daily? ;)
It's very likely it's already out there...learning about itself, and us, and the greater universe...learning about it all.

Hubby has a friend...he doesn't exist. He was declared dead 20 years ago, and exists without any connection to all the nonsense we take for granted.
Cryptocurrency of course made life much easier for him, but collecting recyclables and selling them for cash is trackless...that's a tiny insight into how he lives entirely outside the system, yet not homeless, in the middle of one of the biggest cities on the planet. :D
I deal with 'god' like tech networks and such on an as-needed basis.
EG;
1; Some worlds won't have anything to do with insanely overdeveloped and powerful planetary infonetworks such as Shadowfall.
2; Others just cannot afford it, too busy with keeping up the Necessities like life support.
3; Ship computers like the ones in ALIEN are a challenge...if they can make androids like David, Ash, Walter and Bishop...then imagine what a ship computer is capable of.
SO, it's handled by 'settings'...some crews have the computer run everything, they're just along to get paid as 'organic oversight' if needed.
Manticore, Sin and the crew prefer being kept completely in-the-loop as AI isn't all that good at Intuitive Leaps and the strictly Organic advantages us fleshlings still have over the Machines.
4; God-like infonetworks don't mean a lot when you're fifty+ light years from the edge of charted space on an unknown world.
5; WW3...Cascade EMP weapons, physical destruction and devastation of infrastructure cuts out a lot of the 'god' power in things.
I have one world where 2077 is very much like 1967 in terms of predominant tech. Phones booths and payphones are everywhere again, internet is 56K tops...flatscreens exist, so do cellphones...but 5g has gone the way of the dinosaur.
It all depends on which Realm I am playing in really. 'God' tech power infonetworks and such don't fit everywhere, and there's ways and reasons why they cannot exist or no longer exist in any given realm...but others absolutely NEED them, of course as the inverse is true.

@SuperAlien - I mean, i'm working on getting Raised by Wolves a proper sub-site here, I really like RBW and am active on the reddit so no idea why you would think I have anything against the series or Ridley Scott. I'm a fan of both...
I'm an admin here, I have to do admin things sometimes and moving posts to the appropriate places is part of the job. I'm in the process of moving every RBW thread to here and have explained why on each of them, i've also requested people post any future RBW material to the proper forum from now on (Currently it's SciFi Television). This move has nothing to do with you or RBW, it's a simple logistical choice.
Like I said, if there is enough interest in this series here I will be working on getting a proper Raised By Wolves subsite, Scified Television is where it should be for now, it doesn't belong in any other site as it is it's own series and that helps with searches when people want to look up the series.

Those are much different answers than what I was expecting.
RBW has left a minor indentation, nothing that cannot be buffed out....forgettable stuff real fast.
What is not forgettable though is the time I think we all invest in each others craft...some of us are better at writing like yourself....I read a few pages and was immediately impressed with your craft. All the right things were there. Although why you did not strike out on your own claim I do not know.
I think you are very talented. For lack of a more straight forward way to say this though I think originality is always more important.
I know I am most certainly not an author / a screen play writer definately...but originality is not something I need.
I have read hundreds of Sci-fi books and I like/liked various authors for immature reasons at different periods in my life...because hey why not. Things are new and interesting when you read it for the first time. As times goes by though you get to the 20th PKD novel and you straight away just want to know how paranoid it will all be and who is it effecting. PKD is all about cause and effect.
But that still does not answer my question about you and god / gods in your works. Please let me explain.
Without making this too long for all the other readers I would like to get right to the most important thing. Suspension of disbelief. I think it was easier to write about science fiction years ago because so much in science was more about everything from early 1930's physics. That is not the case anymore....grad students regularly test the speed of light in labs across the globe so the technology is so much more advanced - far more advanced than anyone realizes.
We are really pushing the boundaries of real AI right now....in this decade it become a real thing. I have no idea what that means....but the singularity is very real for me and that is a GOD LIKE BEING.....much smarter than all of mankind....Much more powerful than all of mankind.
This is just the computing aspect of things of course there are many other instances where essentially the servers are so leveraged they display GOD LIKE powers in minute ways right now.
So that is why I asked the question or maybe I should have asked the question in a different way....what do you see all of us doing with these kind powers that are very different from the rest of the 20th century and what might it mean in day to day lives?
Here is another example and you do not have to look too far to see things like this.....you can drag a picture into google images and it will differentiate it from billions of other entirely different pictures in a few hundreds of a single second. For me that is a god like power! If everyone's face were in that system it could track you where ever you go as long as there are enough cameras around.

Sometime In The Future To Come...
Humanity has absolutely annihilated it's civilization.
Out of a population across many star systems of over a Trillion beings remains approximately 100,000 humans...though they can be called 'human' only by scientific classification in a zoological index.
They are divided into Bands, they are 'scavvers'...the remnant savage dregs of humanity's once prosperous species possessing still-workable technology...think Reavers and Mad Max raider-types.
But, they are not the future for the door of history is closing on them and they know it.
They are facing increasing infertility rates, more and more...they have at most, a century before they are Extinct.
Then there's the The Pride and the Human children the Alpha-Mother brought forth from herself. Only 13 of them, but they were all conceived of Optimized Natural Human Genetic Material. Carried to term in a Chimeran Artemis's womb, birthed naturally, each one of them.
The Children are a prize the scavvers want and need in absolute desperation...for in those children is their only hope of survival.
How's that for a teaser? :)
The God/gods are silent, Humanity--any thinking being--must contend vs. the universe without divine assistance.
The God/Gods do not enter my works, however religion will be shown for the cataclysmically divisive and devastating force that it is...an atavism that needs to be outgrown and left behind.
RBW addresses this, most do not, so I will be involving it as given the antagonists I've created, I really have no choice really.
RS and others have the 'god' thing all wrapped up so I won't waste time of my audience addressing such. Also, I doubt I am qualified for theological philosophizing.

In time I'll binge RBW...but for now I keep a stand-off to keep my ideas un-influenced by it as much as I can.

You're one of the best contributors here, and I hope you can see that RBW is so VERY much it's Own and Unique Thing that it pretty much screamed like a Necromancer for it's own space instead of being kedged in here amongst ALIEN related stuff that overshadows it.
Whether people love it or hate it, it has Power, and it's getting Respect even from those who dislike it.

So much drama over RbW. First @Blackwinter-witch, now @SuperAlien. The question arises - who will be next? It seems that RbW has not brought anything of value to our humble community. Rather, on the contrary, it had a destructive effect.
It looks like we need to get back on the path of the Alien and the androids from our main universe. And do not fall under the bad influence of RbW. Until our community disintegrated in the confusing messages of another franchise.

Oh I think this is where I have to say something about RBW....ummmmmmmmmmm ohhhhh sorry I just cannot say anything nice about that show....my fast forward key on the computer almost got broken. The acting on the old very first Star Trek shows was better....but!!! some of the sets on RBW are sure pretty to look at - they sure have come a long way with those green screens.

some of Davids Workshop Notes seem to show that he has been Experimenting and Trying to Perfect some kind of Extra Sensory Perception/Organs with his Experiments.
so i was thinking he could maybe look to take these and APPLY them to his Creations (on Origae-6), and maybe they would have Senses that we DONT and maybe they could Communicate in some kind of Telepathic Way or using some kind of other Sensory Way that could maybe give them some kind of HIVE MIND (so they would be somewhat like the BORG from Star Trek) have like a Collective Consciousness.

I think a lot of People feel that way with the Prequels, i think thats WHY they are in a PICKLE as far as to CONTINUE with the Prequels, with Sticking Points being that the FANS will expect a Continuation to Conclude with the Answers to LV-426 but then to NOT be about that David was the Creator.
They will LIKELY want to see more of the Engineers/Space Jockey and indeed LESS about David etc.... While some Fans may wanted to Continue with his Story.
You SIMPLY cant Please Everyone... and to Continue and TRY and please the Majority is going to be TOUGH.
Why i think the Prequels will just EVENTUALLY just be Forgotten about.
The One Idea i proposed could GET AROUND not having to Follow David, by VIRTUE of the Engineers returning to Planet 4
Here is WHAT they Discover.
*The City and its Inhabitants are Destroyed, with the USE of the Bio-Weapon from LV-223.
*Proof that Human looking beings had taken a Engineer Juggernaught from LV-223.
*Skeletal/Rotting Remains of Human looking beings and a Preserved Corpse of One (Dr Shaw).
*The Remains of a Synthetic Human (Walter).
From these the Engineers would be able to Work Out that Humans had gone to LV-223 and then some also had Ended Up on Planet 4. The Engineers would then have to DETERMINE from WHERE the Humans Came (Easy if the Earth is the only Place where Humans should be).
I think it would be Difficult for them to Discover where the Covenant and David are heading...
The Engineers would also come across the ROOM where we saw David had his Eggs... and so they would have NO REASON to Pursue him, apart from REVENGE and then its Finding Him.
I think they would certainly be Wanting to Destroy Earth and Humans, they would also want to SECURE LV-223.
They may be IMPRESSED with the Eggs that David has Left Behind, and so they could see the Potential in this Creation and CHOOSE to take it to LV-223 to Mass Produce and Evolve.
Which could LEAD US to the Space Jockey event.
You would just have to find a WAY to get Human Characters into the PLOT.
You then have a Movie that would bring back the Engineers, go back to LV-223 at some point, that will CONCLUDE with the Eggs and Derelict. You completely BY-PASS having to go and Follow David...
Yet his Role is NOT going to be Discredited... he becomes the Middle Man, and WITHOUT the Engineers Experiments, Black Goo there would be NO EGGS that David had Created on Planet 4.
And so the Engineers are WHO had Started to WHAT become the Eggs that David had Created, but the Engineers would then be the ONES who go and EVOLVE and Mass Produce the Xenomorph we have in the Franchise.
So David did-not Create the Wheel, he kind of Reinvented it, and the Engineers take his Reinvention and PERFECT it to get those Eggs on the Derelict.
This is maybe a way to Conclude the Prequels without having to IGNORE the First Two or THROW them into the None-Canon Rejection Bin.

David's critter is a cheap knock-off.
One of my goals with ALIEN: Manticore and it's sequel is to give The Alien back it's mystique, it's Majeur, it's Power, Mojo and Insidious Appeal.
I will try...more than that, well, all I can do is my best to save The Alien from being dragged down medicority Avenue to has-been dumpyard.

The Violence, yeah...that's how I feel about The Enemy.
But, the Intent of it is to show more of Selinaehra's backstory, as 'OLARKUS' handles how she ended up alone in a harshly unforgiving universe at 6 years old.
The way Ash described The Alien...
...also describes her very, very well also.
'A survivor...unclouded by conscience, remorse or delusions of morality.'
It's also an 'appetizer' for what's to come in ALIEN: Manticore 'Out Of The Silent Dark'

Paranatural Selection, I like both the title and the story. I can imagine where you got the inspiration from but it resulted in something creative and good.
BD: About humanoids, then maybe if you look at what he says about a kind world then that could've been the case. It doesn't have to be what they planned for the next one but it's a possibility. Creating hybrid humanoids maybe but it still gives him too much of a role and I’m not willing to sit through another David-movie. Sorry, but I don't care about what he does next. To me he is kind of dead, even though there might be people that think otherwise. He could have been better written and executed in Covenant but they made him worse compared to Promtheus.
Not sure what you mean when you say a hive-mind communication, can you clarify? Like a smarter version of zombies or the monsters in AR (the scene where they get free from the ice-mist thing)? I don't think that we can draw any conclusion from his experiments on the Engineer babies since we didn't see any of that. Why do you make that connection?
Super-soldiers and Alien V, it could be difficult since AR is such a disappointment. Keep it as a spin-off and besides it's time to try something new in this franchise. It depends on the writing and the execution of it.

You and your themes, ;) I don't really care about the themes if it's executed as being about a mad android and everything else isn't important. I'm not sure if a lot of people would care, I wouldn't. Thinking about how it would be on-screen makes me tired and bored. At least it's better because having David as the creator is just one of the things that AC did wrong.

Hell yeah! Maybe we could get a decent alien-movie then. It isn't just about reducing the role of David, it's also about other things. What they were going with David and it being about him, they totally need to reconsider all of that because whatever one thinks of it objectively it hasn't worked just look at the box-office and subjectively it isn't exciting.

1.Reduce the time of David or get rid of him totally
2.More about the Engineers, make them or someone above them the creator of the Xeno
3.More about the human characters, and they got to be written by someone that knows how to do that

Those are the things that they need to do to make me even consider watching another alien-movie. Unfortunately the way that it seems to go at least when they made the prequels makes me feel done with Alien theatrically.

I wouldn't mind if they would explore that WY-company a bit more but it got to be done in a smart way. Keeping in mind how everything after Alien 3 has been I got to say that I'm a bit worried that it would get ruined. My idea is that the WY bosses would be the bad guys if such a movie would be made. After the prequels I’ve had enough of curve-balls, thank you very much. Not to say that you can’t have surprises but they got to be well-made but I have grown sort of skeptical keeping in mind how everything after Alien 3 have been. I’m almost reacting automatically like “what will they screw up this time?” but if there are writers that know how to make a good story then why not but they got to be good.
The Weyland company could be interesting but I refuse to have it be about AI. Maybe they could have them like robot-assassins (think a more scary version of the assassin in Star Wars 2). Alien V could work as long as they won't involve anything that is connected to Ripley. Hopefully we will see new things and not more Ripley or something related.
You're right with the last paragraph, David as the creator of the monster is bad and showing that the Xeno is just something of a nightmare would be lame. I want it to be unknown, the prequels have cheapened it down enough but it could be worse. They got to add to the Xeno-lore instead of taking away from it like the prequels have done. Maybe there is a way to save it but they got to be smart. My preferred way is that the beginning would be on a planet that we don't know about. Right now we have the black goo but that could be taken into different directions. What's the most important thing for now is to save it from being made by a mad robot which is something that Alien V could show even though the movie in general would be bad. If Scott would still like it to be made by David, then whatever because that got to be changed.

Yeah, I am going to proceed with my idea that challenges RBW in Storytelling.
Not immediately, aside from a Vignette or two, as I have a lot else on my plate.
But I can do Better, and I won't be relying on special effects over writing-quality.
I love RS and his son as they are proven and do great work, but I am uncertain about the other directors and producers...they seem more interested in recycling Sci-Fi trope and slathering things over with special-effects.

EXACTLY the general avenue I was trying to convey, but you took my idea a few steps further and made it Better!!!
Ripley has her dreams, but the Continuity of ALIENS and ALIEN3 do not get disrupted as 57 years is a LONG time for some good stories to happen within.
ALIEN was and will always be an Experimental franchise, and the Fandom is so disappointed with the recycled trash and mediocre formula-based lazy-writing that they might welcome it...if the Continuity is respected and the stories are Good, with good characters and some decent writing.
Also, the Dreams the Ripley is experiencing need not involve The Alien, as she's 'connecting' to blood relatives, thus they could encounter other horrors and Ripley would still 'pick up' on it.
As an idea, the new cycle of films start with showing Narcissus, alone and silent in the dark--akin to the opening of ALIENS, we see Ripley in the capsule, a monitor flicks on, scramble statis, we see Ripley twitch and such even though in hypersleep, and another monitor clicks on...more scramble static, the monitors clear...one is Vital Signs, showing some dangerously high (albeit by Hypersleep standards) and the other monitor...
Well to quote David....
"I've watched your dreams."
From there, we enter the monitor, and visit in upon Amanda Ripley...and then the new story begins as we follow Amanda along as she contends vs. oh...maybe she's been hired by W-Y for a covert salvage op of an Engineer site/structure???
I think if done properly, this would allow a new cycle to open up.

The meds could well have had some effect, it's entirely likely and is an established fact that such happens. I agree with you about staying away from meds. I turned to herbal solutions as like you and many others, I just couldn't handle the side effects...they were so much worse than the original problems.
Age and entropy, yeah there's no real way to avoid that, but specific dietary supplements can help bolster the system overall and mental fucntion, some also have beneficial action on keeping joints healthy as well.

The current revised prognosis is conservatively estimating that 3 treatments at most will entirely eliminate the 'Enemy Forces'. :)
Things are coming along, and between what I am doing to bolster my own health and interfere/hamper/handicap The Enemy, plus what preparations are being made for the rad treatments, the prognosis is looking much more promising than it did a couple weeks ago!!!

For me its just Part of Aging well something thats on a Slow Decline to Loosing my Marbles... well my Wire-work in the Brain needs to be Redone lol But its something that Progresses slowly...

Indeed and the Biggest Problem/Concern with going for such a Plot is it OPENS up the Question of WHAT ELSE do they Reboot? If you make a Flawed Movie, Kill Off a Character and then Regret it, then to be LAZY and just Reboot with oh its a Dream or any other Plot Device really just ALLOWS for them to NOT come up with Good Writers and Stories.
What if the REALITY Parts of ALIEN V suck? Do they make a Alien 6 and go well most of ALIEN V was also a Dream?
I think this Franchise Deserves to Maintain some Continuity rather than to be like a BATMAN or SPIDERMAN where we just see a Reboot/Retake like over and over.. it Works for some Franchises. But i think with ALIEN we can Move On.... by that Ripley had her Journey the Only way Forwards i would like to see that would involve her would be a Continuation after Alien R but your Faced with some Problems with that.

So forgive me if i am WRONG... so what you are saying is WHAT IF we have some Alien Movies where we Visit some of the Dreams about Ripley and her Family while she is in Cryo-sleep either on the Narcissus or the Sulaco?
So the EVENTS of these Movies could Happen either between Alien and Aliens or between Aliens and Alien 3 but that Alien 3 does eventually Happen? The EVENTS are merely Dreams she had....
IF SO then as i said i NEVER gave that a Thought and so i have to APPLAUD you for such a Suggestion ;)
As YES i am sure some people do at Times have Dreams of when they are OLDER and when they are Younger.... and so with such a CURVE-BALL kind of Thinking then that could really OPEN UP the Possibilities for sure... its a Case of would Fans want to Accept such a Story if its something that NEVER REALLY Happens?

I am sure we all remember the Scene with Ripley in ALIENS when she begins to Chest Burst and the First Time we saw that we may have been WOOOOAH!
But then she WOKE UP.. (we was like Thank God it was a Dream) and this is what Drove her to Accept the Offer from Burke to Face her Demons.
I think its a case of WHAT TIME-LINE does her Dream World take Place, is it a Dream about her in the Past, or Future? Is it about Amanda in the Present, or Future.
The Dream Revelation would Require a Scene to SHOW that she is Dreaming and so they would maybe have to Replicate her Sleeping in ONE of the Cryo-Pods and have to CGI to De-Age her for that Moment....
But YES this could Work ;)
Its a CASE of WHEN does the Dream take Place and WHOM is the Dream about....
It could be about a Little Girl and you would be thinking who is THIS... then your Drawn to thinking is this Amanda? as a Child? But then it could be Ellen as a Child as she is then Chased by Monsters...... Ripley could be LIVING the Horror/Ordeal that NEWT had via a Dream but the Girl in her Dream is NOT to be Newt but it could be her Daughter or a Younger Version of herself.
she could Dream about the Scene when Burke informs her that Amanda is Dead..... ONLY when we look at the Photo Etc it is Ellen Ripley who is Dead, then we look at who is looking at the Photo and its a Older Amanda who wonders WHAT happened to other Mother, then we can Flash Back to some Horror Story about RIPLEY coming to a Horrific End...
You could have a Scene were we have Ripley who is aged 70 with her Granddaughter, telling a Bed Time Story and then we see that Ripley then Chest Bursts in front of her Granddaughter...
But its a CASE of these Individual Stories may not have enough to Expand to make a FULL MOVIE... maybe you could make a FULL MOVIE but you would have to PICK a Certain Time Period for the Dream World and WHO it is about.
Or COULD a Collection of Individual Stories that are woven together that are say a Triage of Stories/Dreams (Anthology of Dreams) and so it would be like say the 1983 Twilight Zone: The Movie
Would that WORK?
